Damn this is funny... I swiped this off someone elses blog.. who had swiped it off someone elses blog... who had... eh, never mind.. just read this...
Shoe Size VS... eh.. er...
Whew... that study was probably done by men... because men are completly obsessive about measurements. I don't think a woman has ever asked for a guy's measurements when getting a discription of him, but I know of plenty of men who have asked for a woman's. And DAMN... men are so proud of their little friend, I think they belive that everyone wants to know how BIG and HUGE it is.... even if big-ness is only in the eye... er... hand... of the.. um... beholder... *snicker*... should I even be talking about this? HAHAHAHAHA!
Besides... I knew it was a myth... have for a LONG time. ;o) Shhhh... let's just keep this between ourselves... I don't think the men folk can handle the truth just yet.

Whew.... busy day. I love my car. My Car. MY Car. MY CAR! I LOVE MY CAR!!! HAHAHAHA!
OK, before I start on today, let me cover yesterday and the day before.... OK, so Tuesday I ask DH if I can can have his left over steak for lunch, and he says sure. So that's what I had for lunch. About 9:30 pm I start having a really acidy stomach despite taking something for it. By 10 pm I'm feeling a bit sick. I realize that hubby did infact have food poisoning Sunday night/Monday morning. *sigh* now I have it... About 1 am I start hurling... all night long I do that. The next morning... I have to get up... Wednesday we had an appointment we could NOT miss. So... I pack a bunch of plastic bags... have hubby put the dry toast I asked him to make me (but the smell was turning my stomach so I didn't eat) in a zip lock, grab a BIG glass of water, the bottle of pepto and we were off. I wait for him outside his work for about an hour... eat a few bites of toast, a few gulps of pepto... total misery... So out he comes, we head off... the sickness hits... uggh... no details but hubby had to make a detour to the Target to pick me up some clothes. Ya know.. changing in the car is no fun... especially when your stomach is turning. So we go off to the appointment (hope to hell they were impressed that I made it even though I felt like crap!), hubby drives me home, gives me medicine to calm my stomach and make me sleep. Wednesday was also the day the apartments were planning inspections for our building... and I have two refugee cats... So... we had put the cats in the carrier before we left and they went with us on our adventure, hubby put them in my closet when he brought me home. Later that night I was feeling well enough to eat a small bowl of KMac. (comfort food...) I still had to take more medicine before bed... anytime I have anything that makes me throw up, it takes a while for my stomach to calm.. it's because I have GERDS (reflux disease)... I don't know why it makes it worse.. but I was told that. So off to bed... Hubby tells me that he'll get me up at 6:30 am.
Thursday - this is my day to pick up MY CAR! So I'm feeling better, groggy, but better. Luckily I had set my alarm for 6:30 am, because guess who's husband didn't wake me? Yeah mine. So I get up, take a shower, get out, turn on the computer... look for breakfast... all of the sudden it hits me that I have to be on the bus at 8 am, and leaving at 7am to go all the way downtown in rush hour traffic was a dream and an impossibility. So I run to the bathroom and pound on the door, tell hubby that it's almost 7 and we have to get going! He says ok. He's dressed in record time, we stash the cats in my closet - still not sure if they inspected the apartment or not... and we rush out the door. 7:10 am. Damn... We get to the bus station at 8:10 am. Damn it. I get another ticket - the next bus leaves at 1:15 pm! DAMN! that's not until AFTER I would get there! (I would have gotten there at 11:45 am) I'm furious with hubby. I tell him to leave.... (not nicely either) and I wait at the bus station (which is not as bad as it sounds - I sat knitting a baby blanket most of the time - went for a walk and had lunch... forgot where my favorite place was, so didn't have the 'Perfect' lunch though...). funny thing was, I read a horoscope that morning that had said that I would deal with crazy people - and I ended up at the BUS STATION that day HAHAHAHA! No crazies until we lined up for the bus, one obnoxious guy who kept making comments about EVERYTHING and every so often he'd put his headphones on and sing along to his radio... sheesh.. I made sure he got on the bus ahead of me so I would not sit anywhere near him. The trip was completly uneventful, I knitted the whole way. I got there, and my grandmother was waiting, hubby had NOT gotten ahold of her before she left the house, so she had been waiting for the FIRST bus for me, and she was paniced that I had gotten off at the wrong place, and had called everyone looking for me... *sigh* when my husband finally did get ahold of her, she reemed his ass. lol... so I didn't have to when I got home. She and I went back to her place, got the car and a few things.. had dinner really quick and I was off - it was 7 pm by then. She filled up the car for me and I drove all the way back. The car is a dream. The gas mileage is AWESOME! I drove over 200 miles (without stopping) and used just over half a tank of gas! I finally put a little gas in the car today... it was up to 275 miles... and I was a little paranoid about that... maybe the gas gage is wrong... seems fine so far though. I do need to get the freon replaced in the air conditioner.. and the horn needs to be fixed, but it runs great. I got home at 11:30 pm.
My grandmother was worried about me driving at night - I was fine though - it's a straight shot from here to there... she wanted me to stay the night but I had to work today. And it's a good thing I didn't give in - I had totally forgotten I had to cover an extra hospital this morning! Good thing Tammy called to remind me last night. Tomorrow I have to make sure EVERYONE at my busy hospital is done - even people going home on Sunday... Why... we have a baptism to go to on Sunday ... and my manager is not sure anyone will be there to cover the hospital. *sigh* I'll do what I can. Oh and that move to the other hospital on the weekends isn't going to happen just yet... apparently the person she was going to get to take one of my hospitals didn't work out.. Oh well... Must make dinner now...

Damn... what a day.... fuck... what a couple of days... *sigh* I'm glad they are over now... I'll have to write about them later... on the up side - I have my CAR!!!! and it has FABULOUS gas mileage! YAY! (and a CD player with a kick ass sound system! Gotta love grandmother's who are starting to have hearing difficulties!)
I'll write sometime tomorrow about the past couple of days - they entail - food poisoning, buying new clothes, plastic bags, the bus station, crazy people, knitting, cats and getting my new car! Bet you can't wait to hear it all! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ah... something interesting to talk about....
Last night we rented a couple of movies - that's the routine - a couple of movies a week. Gosford Park and The First Wives Club. We watched Gosford Park. That was a very strange movie... but it was very very good. It had a huge cast and was sometimes hard to keep up with who was doing what to whom! It was set in the early 30's, a bunch of rich snobby people having a weekend shooting trip, they all converge on one residence with their maids and valets. The movie switches from what goes on under the stairs (with the service people) and what goes on above the stairs (the rich snobs). The movie is about 2 hours and 15 mins long, and it's a murder mystery, but no one get's murdered untill about an hour and 16 mins into the movie! Well no one physically get's murdered... a few reputations and social positions are given their RIP's. The cast is just fabulous and so well developed. All of the rich people are for the most part unredeemable human beings, stabbing one another in the back, slandering each other, sleeping with people they are not married to... being generally obnoxious people but charmingly rich lol. The service people are not that far removed, but they do have a bit more virtue than those they serve. No one is surprised at who get's murdered and no one is sorry this deplorable human is dead - well one person is sad - that is the man's valet. He is truly saddened to see this man he has served for so many years dead. Then the movie get's interesting... very interesting. I could actually tell you the rest of the movie - give away who killed this man, and still not tell you everything about this movie or even enough to make this very unsual movie any less enjoyable. The cast reads like a who's-who in British acting circles. There are several people with very impressive acting resumes - most notably is the older woman who plays the Aunt and an insufferable snob - but an interesting character - anyway - this actress has 50 years of acting and has won so many awards and recognition - I kept recognizing her from some other movie, but I could not put my finger on it - after a little research on the internet we (hubby and I) realized it was from HOOK - she played Granny Wendy. She was great in this movie, actually EVERYONE was just fabulous in this movie! I was hesitant at first, even threatened hubby for getting it- told him it better be good since it was a $3.50 rental! HAHAHAHAHA! Anyway - Gosford Park - Highly recommended! Rent it!

Well I'm pretty damn'd excited. My uncle is giving me a car. It's an old car, but it's a car and since I do not have a car (hubby and I share one car) I am appreciative of any car that runs. I look forward to not having to drop my husband off before I head off to work, and even more not having to wait in the parking lot for him to get off work after I do as I can not justify the extra gas it takes to drive all the way home and come back down to get him at the end of his work day... or usually, I there's no physical way to make it home and back to his work in a timely manner. So Thursday I hope a Greyhound for a 3 hour 45 min trip to pick up my car. My grandmother will meet me at the bus stop and we'll have lunch, chat a while - then I'm headed back home - one car richer. :o) I know it's silly, but I'm extremely excited. And I don't even mind the bus trip, I have this baby blanket I need to get finished - the baby I'm making it for is getting baptised this weekend and I really want to give it to them as a baptism present.
So, I've been cleaning house most of the day... not that my house was dirty, just getting a little cluttered. And it's laundry day. I did 3 loads of laundry, got everything folded and hung up, changed the sheets on my bed, cleaned my bathroom, vacuumed the livingroom and the bedroom and swept the floor in the kitchen. Part of the reason for making sure it's nice and clean is that our apartments is going to be inspecting people's apartments tomorrow. Checking for any kind of maintenance problem. So... we are going to be hiding the cats tomorrow since they are little fugitives. *sheesh* the trouble I go through for them.... even after they puke on the floor this morning. Cats.... So anyway... back to cleaning... I was vacuuming and my vacuum cleaner started giving off this smell... kind of like burning rubber or something... I just shut it off - I was done vacuuming at that point (small livingrooms can be a blessing). But I sure as hell hope it doesn't break on me! This would be the 2nd vacuum to break on me. Not that this one was very expensive - $50 at WalMart... seems that bagless is the way of the future, so all the bagged kind are going down in price. yeah I'd love a bagless, but they are expensive.... well just out of my price range. *sigh* what a boreing life I lead...here I am talking about vacuum cleaners... next thing you know I'll be discussing the best way to dust...

Well the weekend is over. Whew! What a weekend. I worked - and had an upset stomach - ick... We had mexican food Friday night and I had too many jalepenos and to much hot sauce... uggh... so I had horrible reflux. ANYWAY - Saturday night hubby and I went to the Corndog Festival. So we worked on finishing our entries when I got home for work. Here's a picture of my favorite entry by me:
Hubby and I did this one (he's such the Star Trek Geek!):
Titled: A sceen from Corn Trek - He's Dead Jim!
We didn't win for our entries - Whaaaaa! But we did have fun, and that's all that matters. ;o)
Well I've decided two things over the weekend, both are the result of a debate I had with someone I had regarded as a friend... but now... I wonder if I was assumeing too much from that relationship. I'll tell the situation first without getting to much into the actual debate... because that's actually not an issue..I really don't care if people disagree with me, as long as you do it in an intellegent, informed and respectful way. I wasn't completly convinced this person was argueing her standing on an informed level.. actually that I am sure of, she was argueing it purely on an emotionally charged level... which often clouds one's judgement. But... since I like that person, I was going to just drop it since she could not separate her emotions from the issue. And... this person has a problem with people who disagree with her... she's admitted it.. so I thought it best to drop it. OK - I'm going to break in here and state one of the things I decided this weekend - 1) Not to discuss politically charged issues or any kind of controversial issue with anyone unless I am absolutly sure they are informed, intellegent and can be respectful. Saturday after work, I was checking people's blog's and went to a person's blog - this is a friend of the other person I had a debate with. This particular person I do not have a high opinion of... She's brash, pushy, judgemental, egotistical, arrogant and thinks she knows about everything despite her lack of information... and she NEVER let's that keep her from making her opinion known. So she often comes off as a complete idiot. Ahhh yes, she is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot. The only reason I was reading her blog was because no one else had written anything recently! Anyway - I will break in here to state the other thing I decided - 2) To never read anyone's blog unless a) we are good friends or b) I have no freaking clue who you are, so anything you say will have absolutly nothing to do with me. The VI (v stands for village... I'm sure you can figure what the I stands for), had blogged about the subject matter that the other person and I had debated about, EXACTLY what we had discussed... and she basically called me an idiot... nothing that really makes a shit to me considering the source... but... the fact that my friend had such a problem with my stand on this issue and felt the necessity to dis me on this instead of talking to me, that really hurt me. I know I would never do this... no matter how much I felt this person was wrong or being stupid. Friends don't dis each other like that. But... as I said before, I obviously had assumed to much out of this relationship.
OH, I do have to comment on some of the rediculous rhetoric that VI was throwing around... She made some comment on how a crack addict mother can have a baby then go home and neglect it then the baby ends up dead as justification for more government involvement in our lives. Well.. I don't know what it's like in the country she comes from, but that's NOT how it works here. I do work at a hospital, in the maternity area... I only work part time but I have seen what happens with drug babies. They DON'T go home with their parents. When a mother or baby test possitive for drugs in the hospital, that baby is immediatly taken from the mother. The baby does not leave the nursery until protective services shows up to place that child in foster care. The parents are not allowed to be with that child unless they are supervised... and some are not even allowed to see the baby at all. An investigation takes place, the mother has to go through parenting classes, a rehab program and anything else protective services deems necessary... then and only then do they consider letting the child go to the parents. This I have seen first hand. In the past year I have seen 4 drug baby situations in the hospitals I work at. One at my smallest hospital, two at the nicest hospital and the other at the largest hospital I work. The nurses gave me all this information as there are different rules at each hospital - once I was told that I was not to talk to the mother at all because the situation, another I was told I could go talk to the parents to get the information but that the baby had to stay in the nursery... the other two, the mother's had already left the hospital. So anyway... VI's arguement is stupid at best, completly uninformed though... but if that situation she mentioned happens in her country, then it's no wonder she's living here in the US.
Anyway... I'll go on about this more in a more private forum... but not here... I don't want to muck up this page with such negativity... Got to remember the two things - 1) Not to discuss politically charged issues or any kind of controversial issue with anyone unless I am absolutly sure they are informed, intellegent and can be respectful. and 2) To never read anyone's blog unless a) we are good friends or b) I have no freaking clue who you are, so anything you say will have absolutly nothing to do with me.
On to other things... My poor husband... he's not feeling well. He was sick most of yesterday, some intestinal thing. Then in the wee hours of the morning he started throwing up. Poor guy. He's home today, so I'm taking care of him. got him on the BRAT diet - Banannas, Rice, Apple sauce and Toast - at least that's what I think it is... if I'm wrong, please let me know.... I'd hate to make him feel worse. He's so funny though, he has been trying to convince me (and himself) that it's food poisoning... even though we have both eaten the same thing this weekend and I didn't get pukey or anthing. He's also got a fever... He's sleeping on the sofa right now.. looks like a little boy... a little 6'3" 248 lb boy with a full beard... OK, not like a little boy.. but he looks peaceful...
Better run.

Better run.

So again, I'm up way to late. LOL. I was just purusing (sp?) and found this list of The top 10 banned books and why they were "challenged": I have read a couple of the books. 5. "Summer of My German Soldier" by Bette Greene for racism, offensive language, and being sexually explicit. and, 8. "Go Ask Alice" by Anonymous for being sexually explicit, for offensive language, and drug use. Now "Summer of My German Soldier" was a pretty good book, I read it in HS... I remember the racism.... but I it was appropriate for the book... but I do not remember it being sexually explicit... Now "Go Ask Alice" that was freaky, sexually explicit and full of drug use.. a 60's/70's anti-drug book. So strange that in this day and age books would still be banned. With so much sex on television... and with the crap that Hollywood comes out with... eh, *shrug* who knows...

whew...I've been totally unmotivated today...
OH... let me tell you about the pizza experience last night. So I did the internet order to Pizza Hut, for the Deep dish Chicago pizza. After 45 mins of waiting I told DH to call and find out where our pizza was. So he called the number they said would be delivering our pizza. They said the do NOT deliver to our area!! WTF?!?! No one called me to tell me I would not be getting a pizza? No one could e-mail me? Assholes. So Dh calls our order into the other Pizza Hut that is near by and said he would pick it up. I call the customer satisfaction number and tell them the problem, they say they are sorry, will resolve it and will send me a $10 gift certificate for my troubles. Cool. 5 mins after Dh called in the pizza we get a knock on the door, our pizza was here. What????? We pay and eat.. are totally confused though. No call from the other Pizza hut about the pick up order either... crazy... But eating the pizza reminded me of something... I hate PH's sauce... the good thing about this pizza is that the sauce is on top of the pizza - normal that would be to messy and all, but last night, that was good, since I hate the sauce, I could just push it off my pizza. I guess when I get the $10 gift certificate I'll order the same thing and tell them to NOT put the sauce on it.
Last night I may not have eaten very healthfully, but I did go work out. I switched machines. I did this one for the inner thigh... not a very modest machine I might add... I'd never sit with my legs that far appart! HAHAHAHAHA! Anyway.. I did that and the one for the outer thigh and one for the hamstring and glutes... (another machine that is less than modest)... well today I'm sore! LOL. Oh well I hope that means these jiggly inner thighs are on the way out! Now here's my question... why don't MEN have to worry about jiggly inner thighs? That's just not fair.
L - that's exciting about the prospect of a job change! YAY! I hope it works out and is what you want! So what if your a ladder climber? Isn't that what most people are trying to do in their careers?

Ahhh..... here I am, home... waiting for dinner to be done.. er.. I mean arrive.... DH talked me into getting pizza for dinner. I know I should avoid this, but damn I'm hungry and tired... Oh well, tonight I'll go work out... despite the pizza. ;o) I ordered on-line. Gotta love technology...I think I put the e-addy in wrong though - DH wanted it to go to the swb account... *sigh* so I don't know when my pizza is going to get here!!!! DAMN!!!
I can't think straight.. need to stop writing... hungry... fog brain...
I can't think straight.. need to stop writing... hungry... fog brain...
So heare I find myself with a little extra time before I get my DH from work. I'm here at the library. I had looked up a book - I belive it's a classic - Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, but ... this lame ass library does not have a copy. Soooo... I picked up another book to read - one that was right next to where the Bach book should have been... The Regulators, by Richard Bachman AKA Steven King. So far it's not bad, very to the point... a dog and a boy just got shot... Not extremely gruesome or detailed as of yet, but.. a compelling book none the less.. I have this feeling that I may find myself looking to pick up a copy of this book since there's no way in hell I'll be able to finish this in the next hour or so. *sigh* and I had totally written off reading Steven King novels (after he sold out, his work has been hack-ish at best) and the reading of horror also... not because I didn't like it but because I could not find a writer I liked enough to read. I had tried Clive Barker... but wasn't nearly impressed enough to read another book. Had read several friends books... and learned an important lesson.. never read a book written by someone you want to stay friend with or keep a fair amount of respect for. I had one friend who wrote several novels, and I read a series that he wrote and loved them... except for the last book... and I told him so.. he laughed at me HAHAHA.. good sport, but later I realized that was sooo rude of me. Another person, Sydney was his name, such a nice guy.. read his vampire novel but the utmost disdain... He truly is a hack writer, another writer - Roxanne... I read her crap... I mean writting and had waves of nausea... After reading their so called writing.. I could bear to be with them.. I totally lost respect for any of their work and cringed at the thought of them asking ME what I thought of their work.... So... best to never ever read the work of a friend (unless of course it's already gotten raving reviews and hit the best seller list.... then even if you don't like it... you can quote some reviews in a creative lie).
Oh... I'm so bad.. I'm eaves dropping on someone's cell phone conversation... he's talking to someone about a conversation he had with a Chiropractor (witch-doctor) that carbohydrates may cause artheritis! YEAH RIGHT!! If only it WERE that easy. What complete bull shit. I've heard of chiro's claiming to be able to cure asthma and scoliosis (sp?).... now someone is claiming to have the answer to the cause of artheritis. I mean it's POSSIBLE that it may be agrevated by an excess of carbs, as artheritis/diabetis/thyroid disease are all sister diseases... but... sounds like a load of Quack-practor voodoo talk. Sheesh... It amazes me how many people swear by what a chiropractor says. Not that I haven't seen a chiro - I did after my wreck, and it helped some, but I honestly think I would have recovered whether I went or not. It was just kind of nice to get the cool massaging bed on my back... not on my neck though.. give me a headache since one of the disks is bulging.
Damn.. better get off here.. the library will be closing in 30 mins.. I thought this was one of the days they were open until 7pm.. not the 5 pm day.. Oh well.... such is life.

So here it is... just past midnight... I should be sleeping... but I'm not.. Hubby is sleeping.. but I'm not.. Can't sleep... and I have a busy day tomorrow. Of course.
Let's see... what can talk about...
I've started knitting... I've never really done that before, so I'm surprised that I'm really enjoying it. I'm making a blanket for my friends new baby - I'll take a picture of it tomorrow. It's navy blue and light blue. wish I knew how to read a pattern...
I went and worked out tonight, ahhh that felt good. I changed machines. There's these three guys who are always at the gym - any day I go, I see them there, they are always hanging out together, lifting weights. They aren't bad looking but, FUCK - They are STUPID! They always have the STUPIDEST conversations. Tonight it was about trucks, one night they were talking about school and compairing what grade each of them had been held back in ... and yes all three had been held back at least one year. Sheesh.. men like that are a waste. Once I had the hots for this guy that worked in the same building I did, and I finally asked him out to lunch, so we go out, he was so hot, well he was dumb as a fucking rock. I lost interest in a matter of seconds. I call this trio The Gubbers Three, hubby knows who I'm talking about and thinks thats a riot. There are other men there worth looking at though - there's one with a fire tatoo that goes around his arm... I call him Ring of Fire.. and he's totally hot. Ahhh... I do love working out.... I have so much incentive to go to the gym ;o)
Oh yeah, and I need to appologize to J - sorry about our little debate today. I shouldn't have even brought it up. We both have our own point of view and it's not worth debating over.
J never reads my blog, so I'll have to tell her this on Thursday when I talk to her again. hehehe...

Dirty Mary Kidd
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!
hehehe...
Avast ye' maties! I'm off to the store! Better have thoes decks swabbed by the time I get back or somebody's walking the plank! Arrr!!!... Hehehe.. always wanted to say that... well... not really... :o)

OK, now that it's the end of the day, I think I might be able to muster up something to write about. LOL.
A - Hope everything is OK, sounds like you have a lot of stress going on right now. Call me... I can't really help with anything but I'm sure I can make you laugh. (ask me about the gym and $5) A little laughter couldn't hurt. ;o)
L and J - so glad y'all wrote in your blogs!! *happy dance* *happy dance* L - the bat spray dream was pretty funny.
Well today in a fit of boredom I cleaned my oven. I can honestly say I've only cleaned ovens maybe 4 times in my entire life. I had some fume free Easy Off left over from the melted dog bowl in the oven incident nearly 2 years ago. Not that the oven was all that clean, but I was in the kitchen wiping the base boards and cabinets (I told you I was bored..) and I notice a smear on the oven window, I tried to wipe it on the outside but it didn't come off, so I figured it was on the inside and decided to go ahead and clean the oven.. probably didn't need the whole Easy Off treatment, but what the hell - I may never do it again in this place. This evening when I heated up the oven to make dinner - I had icky fumes coming from the oven - even though I wiped it out pretty well. It wasn't really bad, but it kept making me sneeze. Hubby suggested we use the restraunt gift certificate we got recently and go to Big Bowl. No need to ask twice, I changed clothes and we were off. It was ok, I had some garlic chicken with noodles - I didnt' like it. They were soooo nice about it. The waiter offered to bring me something else, then the manager did also. I ordered dessert - chocolate brownie! - and they gave it to me for free because I didn't like the food. LOL! Talk about good customer service! So after the gift certificate the whole thing cost us $9. :o)
Well I'm not going to paint over the Frog Prince side of the stool. Thanks to everyone who said nice things about it. I am going to add some more to it though.. maybe some roses or water lilies.. something.. just looks plain... And no I did not intend the princess to be me... (I don't think it looks like me.. but a few of y'all think it looks like me) I think that would be incredibly vain of me to intentionally make the princess look like me... If anything I wanted it to sort of look like my oldest... but not with blond hair since Rapunzel has blond hair. Anyway - J was so nice and said that I should paint furniture for a living. hehehe... yeah I wish I could make money at that! I'd love it. I am really enjoying painting this stool. Anybody want to order a one of a kind, hand painted stool? hehehe... Better head off to bed. Night

All rightie then.. it's Monday... and my brain is moving slow... Sooo.. here is -
Monday Mission 2.38
1. When I was young, my Mom would always drink a cold Dr. Pepper in the morning. Me, I can go either way. I like a Cold Frappucchino in the Summer months and switch to warm Mocha Espresso in the Fall. Do you like to drink warm beverages in the morning or do you prefer yours cold?
Depends on the weather.. if it's cold - I like a warm one, if it's hot, give me something cold... and since it's usually hot here, I guess it's usually cold for me. lol.
2. Have you ever been so upset with someone that you wanted to get revenge? What did you do? Or if you didn't, what would you like to have done?
Hmm.. I've never done that. But I considered it. I wanted to get back at the woman who screwed me out of my job (that I got laid off from almost 3 years ago)... she was sleeping with the VP.... So I kind of wanted to get back at both of them... I had everything to do it too. I found a love note from a lover of his in some old files I was getting rid of about 6 months before I got laid off. I had kept it - It was very incriminating - had his name on it, and was signed. I have no clue why he put that in is WORK files. Anyway.. I thought about sending it to his wife. I didn't do it. They both ended up being laid off though, so karma took care of them.
3. Sometimes I can look back at my past and see so many things that I was too naive to take advantage of. A time where I could have moved ahead in my career if only I'd chosen to move, the High School girlfriend who said she would do anything if I just asked, and so on. Looking back, are there any opportunities you missed out on that you can see now but didn't realize then?
oh hell yes. who hasn't?
4. Today I tried on my black slacks, and they are just a skosh too tight (yeah it's a real word, look it up). Of course, I wore them anyway. Are there any clothes you refuse to throw away even though they don't (and never will) fit? Why do you keep them?
*snicker* you mean like that old prom dress hanging in my closet? Or the shoes that are too tight but tooo damn cute to get rid of? Maybe those silk pants that fit for a few months... about 5 years ago! HAHAHAHA! I have no idea why I keep them. Hope springs eternal! I like to think someday.... maybe.... hehehehe... I'm an eternal optimist whne it comes to my closet.
5. Although my speech classes eliminated most if it, I still have a little Okie accent left. I say "Git" instead of "Get" and "Collar" instead of "Color." Do you have an accent? Are there any phrases or words you say that tip folks that "you aren't from around these parts?"
Hmmm.... Not really... I do say y'all. But I've been accused of being from Minnesota before! WTF???
6. Speaking of phrases, it really drives me nuts when folks say "very unique" (Unique has no degrees, it is either unique or it isn't) or "irregardless" (not a real word). Are there any words folks misspell or incorrect uses of words that simply drive you insane?
I'm with you on the 'irregardless' that irritates the shit out of me. there are other things... but I can't think of them right now... Brain fog!
7. I am guilty of using pet names a bit too often, like "honey," "babe," and "sweetie." However, currently, no one uses any pet names on me (and I think I'd like one). Are there any pet names that you like to be called? Any you don't? Do you (or did you) have any pet names for your partner?
I get called Pooh by a lot of people or Pudy, my mom used to call me that... I call my DH hon a lot, but since we watched Monsters Inc I've been calling him Sully - that character reminds me of my hubby. Big, sweet, a sucker for little kids and furry! HAHAHAHAHA!
BONUS: Why you so fly?
*sigh* like I can help how fly I am. hehehe...
Today's comment question: Do you prefer a stick shift or automatic? ummm.. has to be an automatic... can't drive a stick...

*sigh* like I can help how fly I am. hehehe...
Today's comment question: Do you prefer a stick shift or automatic? ummm.. has to be an automatic... can't drive a stick...

The Frog Prince.
This is where I'm at right now on the other side of the stool - I went to WalMart today and got more paint. I'm not sure I really really like it.. I may paint over it.... I'm not sure... I do know that it's not finished at all - I need to add some more stuff. I do like the frog though. He's cute. :o)
Tell me what you think - be kind... I get pissy when criticized... Suggestions are cool though.

Ahhh we watched Monster's Inc again tonight. That is such a cute movie! I laughed, I cried. hehehe... I love it. I may watch it again tomorrow before I work out. It's due back Saturday. Hubby can return it while I am working.
Speaking of work, I haven't heard back from my manager as to whether I switch hospitals this weekend. *sigh* she is awful about calling back unless it's just URGENT. *eyes rolling up in head* I guess it wasn't that urgent that I switch hospitals.
On to other work... working out! I went and worked out tonight - I'm so proud of myself. I'm doing really well if I do say so myself. And I've been sticking with my eating plan, and I've already lost 3 lbs! YAY! Woohoo! I need to go to Walmart this weekend and get some vitamins, I have a list of the ones I need to get. It's really only a few, but I can't remember the names of them unless I write them down.
OK, on to "Things that made me laugh today" (and no it wasn't that squirrel either), does anyone remember that movie Krull? It came out in like 82 or something... I remember seeing that movie when I was a wee child. I loved that movie. And apparently other people did also! Look at this link! KRULL for KRULL! That did make me laugh a LOT. I mean it was a good movie... but it's a been almost 20 years.. and it wasn't THAT good... hmmm... funny... Also... this was on of Liam Nelson's first movies! HAHAHAHAHA! He had a small part in the movie (go look at the pictures on the site, there are two of him!).
Well I better go to bed... My googley-bear is already in bed... hehehe... yeah I love that movie...
