I Can Burp My ABCs!

Just now...

Super Girl: What were you laughing about last night?
Me: Burping.
Cabbage Patch: Burping our ABCs.

The Tiny Terrorists are so different. It's funny. Super Girl is serious and bossy, 9 going on menopause. And Cabbage Patch is in her own little world. A world where burping ones ABCs is an accomplishment (yes it was my idea to do that).

Thursday Cakes

So yesterday was my day off. YAY day off! I'm all sore today from working out. Ouch. I need a massage.

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. I spent a couple of hours this morning making Memorial Day cakes - 35 to be exact. Come buy cake, you know you want some cake for this weekend. Tomorrow I'll be making LOTS of cupcakes and trying to get ahead on my orders for Saturday so I can be out of there by 3 pm or 4 pm for my game. And then... Sunday I work 3 pm to 9 pm (8 pm if I get the cleaning done before 6 pm). Yeah, I get to close the bakery. Rah. And next week my day off get shifted to Thursday so that I can finish up the items for the reset that has to be done by Thursday. Blah. So.. no Scarby for me. Boohoo. I was thinking the store would be closed on Monday. Damn.

Oh well. Here's CAKE!

Just a little pandering to the commercialization of a holiday. You know you want some cake! (ps - expect to see this design again in July! woohoo!)
A cute ladybug!

Tuesday Tasties

It's Tuesday and I need to post an update to my much neglected blog. I really don't have time though, I still have to get ready for work and get the Tiny Terrorist's lunches made and all that kind of stuff. I'll try to cover some of the things though.

First off, K and B have gotten engaged to be married. I'm thrilled for them. I'm not sure if they are going to have a ceremony or not since gay marriage still isn't legal. Amidst all this joy of B telling K he wants to spend the rest of his life with him I was surprised with what welled up inside of me and bubbled over like pot of soup set on high and forgotten. Jealousy. I'm not proud of it, it's the truth though. I was completely jealous and anguished over it. Not that this sham of a marriage will be ending soon - I've looked forward to that and wanted that for a while, not that I'd be living alone with my offspring, nothing like that. Just that K will be moving in with his life partner, in a lovely house and I'll be moving with my kids to a little ghetto apartment. Why him? It seem so damn unfair. I could go into it more but why? It doesn't change anything, I just need to let it go. (That and I'm running out of time to sit here and type - work calls!) I did however have a really emotional week after that news, maybe because my cat died recently and that's still painful for me, maybe my inner fear of abandonment, probably just my searing jealousy though and I just need to let it go, it does me no good.

So... moving on. I've pledged to myself to not let all this drag me down in a cycle of self abuse. I'm doing things that are positive for me, positive changes. I've started working out again and have started back to eating better. It's working, I'm feeling better physically which makes me feel better mentally. That and I've lost the 5 lbs I had put back on recently... plus 4 more. So, it's good.

And.. I've run out of time, must make lunches. Will try to post again when I get home.

Not that great of a movie, but cool cake.
AWESOME movie! Went to see that Saturday night with Sarge. Was sooooooooooooo COOOOL! (PS all comic book geeks need to stay until after the credits - it's worth it.) May have to go see that movie again with the offspring and the ex. Saw previews for MORE comic book movies that I can't wait to see. The Hulk looks fantastic.

Have a tasty day!

Monday Cake

Just phoning it in right now. Should have updated yesterday but found better things to do than sit at the computer. I know, hard to believe.

Something for the display case.
Another communion cake, this time with a plastic lay-on. I like the one I do in icing better.
This is the actual design that the plastic lay-on goes to. Except it has a bright yellow back ground and white flowers. The funny thing is that this ISN'T the cake that they ordered. I just misunderstood the order because it was taken by someone from the office and they didn't write down the correct info. Not an issue though, they loved this cake much better than the one they chose.
I love Hello Kitty.
I wonder if it's still in the display case.

Gotta go to work now. Enjoy the CAKE!
