Cutting Edge
I did something the other day that I can't believe I did. I cut my hair - myself. Not really short - just trimmed. It's kind of layered now, so it curls up more. I'll post a pic later (I took one earlier but I looked majorly crappy - great hair, just crappy me). Hubby didn't even notice it was cut.

Good News!
I have so much to write, been so busy lately - I was going to write today, but a certain sister of mine (D) side tracked me. ;o) I had fun, up untill the air-conditioning compressor in her car died. Bummer. But on an up side for her, it looks as if she will get a new car sooner than she anticipated (downside for her husband is that he will have to give up his beloved Mustang).
Anyway- on to the GOOD news!!!
HUBBY GOT A JOB!!!! His contract was to end tomorrow (and it will actually) but someone got FIRED at his job and HE got offered the job. He didn't know it until he got home. The agency he's been working through called about 2:30 PM and left a message that they had really good news and wanted him to call back before 6 PM. He got home at 5:30 PM and I told him to call them ASAP. The official offer - he'll be making more than he was contract, but not quite as much as he was at his tech support job, but alas, the tech job high is a thing of the past we are just thankful he has a job.

Posers Piss Me Off!!
Today I came upon someone's blog. He claims to be a US soldier in Iraq. Why does this piss me off? Because I know this is utter and complete bull shit. I have a dear friend who is in Kuwait - ya know, right next to Iraq. He's in the military and we write each other very often. He recently got internet access... or should I say he got e-mail. The military does not allow them to access almost anything, pretty much ALL he can do is e-mail. AND he's sooooo busy he's lucky if he get's to send out more than 3 or 4 e-mails in one day, currently he's not sent me an e-mail since the morning of the 25th. This guy works 12 hours a day and they don't get days off. This is still a war zone, there is NO off time. Mr. Poser also claims to have just watched a bootleg copy of 'The Hulk'. Hmmmm... I find that hard to believe also. Mail generally takes at the very least 3 weeks to reach the recipient. I've caught SEVERAL lies in Mr. Posers posts - it makes me want to vomit that some stupid kid thinks its cool to pretend he's a soldier risking his life in Iraq.

L - Your page looks fab! 2 things - one, how are you doing those cool titles? and two, are you going to get comments?
Zombies
I'm so excited. A NEW Zombie movie! I LOVE ZOMBIES!!! 28 Days Later opens tomorrow. I must find someone to go see this with, hubby hates Zombie movies. I watched the 6 minute preview on the site for the movie - damn, it looks so fucking cool.

And Now For Some Good News!
Seems the Supreme Court finally got their heads out of their asses - readSupreme Court Strikes Down Gay Sex Ban. Well heads out of their asses or maybe they realized they were really missing blow jobs. Oral Sex makes everything better. ;o) (yeah I know I need a smack. Spank me! Spank me!)
Thsi is my favorite rediculous quote from the article Texas defended its sodomy law as in keeping with the state's interest in protecting marriage and child-rearing. Homosexual sodomy, the state argued in legal papers, "has nothing to do with marriage or conception or parenthood and it is not on a par with these sacred choices."
hehehe... yeah whatever. As if a majority of sex these days is for the express purpose of having children. And my question is how exactly is it that GLBT people having the freedom to have sex threaten 'marriage and child-rearing'. I suppose that if two hetrosexual people live together but have no intentions of having children they aren't supposed to have sex - I mean that has nothing to do with marriage or conception or parenthood. Why is Texas so uptight? And honestly is it THAT important that everyone get married and have kids? And apparently being a single parent is not an option either. It appears to me that homosexuals aren't against 'The American Family' but Texas is. Maybe there's not enough interns in the capital...

Inappropriate Advertising
I just checked how my page looks. It looks like I haven't done any permanent damage or lost any content. Archives are working (not that I can imagine anyone actually wanting to read my old shit).
While looking at my page my gaze wandered to the top where Blogger puts adds. I see that one of the ads on my page is for a 'Gay Love Spell'. WTF? I went to check L's page to see if she also had the 'Gay Love Spell' ad since she just started using blogger. Nope, hers are typical weight loss ads seen everywhere on the internet. I wonder how I get so damn lucky to have the 'Gay Love Spell' ad? How do they choose what blog get's what ad? Is it completly random? Do they search for a particular subject to see how often it comes up on someone's page? I guess I should be glad I don't talk much about hemaroids or Prince Albert Piercings - those would be bizarre ads to have on my page.
Speaking of advertising, I was reading an article recently where a pizza place paid homeless people to hold up a sign saying that the pizza place paid them to hold the sign up instead of begging for money. Apparently they get some pizza, a drink and a few dollars for holding the sign for an hour. Hmmm... I guess I really don't see any problem with that, at least they are doing something to EARN some money. Some people don't like this practice... and not because they say it exploits homeless people (now isn't that a rediculous thought - how is giving someone a job explotation?), but because of ad noise. Apparently we are so bombarded with advertising everyday everywhere we look that it's just noise to us and we don't even notice the ads. Critics are sayign that this practice just ads to the ad noise. I don't know, sounds like sour grapes to me. I think it's better than giving the homeless a handout. but hey, what do I know?

Call Me Ms. Fix-It
Last night after everyone was in bed I decided to get a screwdriver and fix my VCR. Seems the tape was just shoved in to far and the eject mechinism was jammed. All I had to do was take the case off the VCR and lift the tape out, now it works fine. It took 5 minutes and I didn't even turn the VCR off (probably not the smartest thing to do, just didn't realize it was still plugged in and on until I had the tape in my hand.)

Changes Happening
I decided Karmically Challenged Life needed a new look. I like the way the new blogger stuff seems to be working so far.
(later)
Well I suck at this. Hopefully this will fix it.
(later still)
OK, enough fucking with this. I fixed it, it's back - the same as before - but it's back. One good thing, I got my archives back! Woohoo!!!!

Renegade Goose
Today was Super Girl's second dance class. We got there about 15 minutes late, which is not good since class only lasts 45 minutes, but it's not really a huge deal. She's just 4. On the way to dance class I told her that we would stop and feed the ducks on the way back. I hold off feeding Cabbage Patch the Goldfish crackers while the class is going on and as promised we stop to feed the ducks. First there was just one lone and rather mangie looking duck - really it looked bad, I don't know if it was molting or was in a fight, but it definitly needed a membership to the hair club for ducks, he had some major male pattern baldness going on, he also had some bare spots on the back. Anyway, that's the duck we started with, just tossing crackers to it until two of the BIG FAT ducks caught on that there was food being passed out. So they head over after a few minutes and most of the tiny snack bag of crackers, more ducks and a goose decided to join the buffet. As the goose swam over he was honking, he got to shore he kept honking. He circled us looking for food honking and honking. I kept telling Super Girl to not get to close to the ducks. Well the bastard goose walks over to Cabbage Patch who was still in her stroller and he bites her on the leg! (I guess bite is technically correct even though they don't have teeth) I smacked at the goose, just barely got it on the neck. It continued to circle around us honking and honking, then it lunged forward and started pecking at Super Girls dance bag - I smacked it right on the beak with the bag of raisins I was carring. Then he backed of and headed back to the water. Damn bird! I was afraid he was going to hurt my baby! I'm tougher than any stupid goose.

Disgusting Things Kids Do...
Last night hubby made popcorn for the kids to eat while watching a movie. Part way through the movie Cabbage Patch started sneezing. I told hubby to go get her some allergy medicine, apparently her allergies were bothering her again (it's a constant here in Texas). About 15 or 20 minutes later she crawls in my lap, I look at her and see what looks like a piece of popcorn up one nostril. So I say "Oh great, she shoved a piece of popcorn up her nose." Then I have to do the dreaded deed of removing the offending object from her nose. So I do, and it's NOT popcorn, it's a fairly large piece of cardboard, like a piece from a book or puzzle. I'm like 'well no wonder you were sneezing. Why the hell would you shove that up there?' Of course I muse these to myself knowing full well that my nearly 2 year old will not give me a coherent or logical answer to my question. In my 4.5 years of being a mom this is the FIRST time I've ever had to fish something out of a nose. Super Girl NEVER did that, although I did fear she would - she seemed to do EVERYTHING else. I've done plenty of other things, reached into a commode to retrieve the one and only binky that would put my child to sleep, done the visual check of the diaper looking for missing item (luckily I've found missing item not in diaper every time), had to induce vomiting once, been vomited on a few times, been peed on several times, had to clean the tub out after child pooped in bath, had to clean child and room and crib after they removed diaper full of poop and made huge mess - done that one a few times also. But now, the ever popular item up the nose has happened to me, and with the child I least suspected would do something like that. It's a cosmic joke on me.

L, you are killing me! "Joe looks like he gets drunk on weekends, ties retarded people to the bumper of his truck and drags them to their deaths. " That is too damn funny. I like Joe, I think he's cute and Super Girl LOVES Joe, she's going to marry him - she told me this. I honestly try not to watch the shows all that much. The one's I don't mind I let the kids watch, the ones that bug the crap out of me or creep me out (Jay Jay the Jet Plane or 7 Little Monsters) are never to be watched in my house. If you're choosing to watch childrens programing, maybe you should get cable. ;o)

L - glad your DSL(and phone) is back! I know how much of a pain in the ass it can be to have it out.
I can identify with you on this whole diabetic thing. It seems that everyone in my family get's diagnosed when they get older. My grandmother got diagnosed about 2 years ago, my grandmother who passed away last year was diagnosed probably 7 - 10 years prior to her passing, my grandfather was in the same boat, and I expect my father to be diagnosed within the next 3 years... him as well as most of his brothers (I think a couple of them already have been). I know none of them are my mother, but it is a clear genetic link.
I have a suggestion on how to handle Minh. She seems like a sweet, well meaning grandmotherly person. Apeal to her need to nurture you. Confide in her that your working hard to loose weight and ask for her help to keep you on track. Tell her you need her to be your cheerleader/food police (even though you really only need protection from her!) and ask her to help keep sweet nummies off your desk. I bet she would be thrilled to be 'helping' you out and would readily agree. Then anytime she slips up and brings a sweet nummy, you can say "Oh gosh I can't eat that, remember I have to watch my snacks." ... if that doesn't work lie to her. Tell her that your doctor told you to stay away from sweets/snacks, a lot of times telling people you have a medical condition or are under doctors orders will make them stop something when out right asking hasn't worked.
This could be VERY possitive for you. Last weekend, hubby said that he would start the Atkins diet with me, which was great because I didn't have to make special for him and struggle to not take a nibble. AND he didn't bring a bag of cookies home mid week. So it's nice to have someone else who will be supportive. The exercise will help also, last week I started walking and got 4 walks in, by Saturday I had lost about an inch in my waist and my pants fit better!
Good Luck! I really think this will work, sometimes you have to come out and talk directly to the source of your problem and ask them for help. A while back I asked my sister to not bring any junk food over when she visited - she is notorious for bringing junk for my kids (she's an aunt it's her job) - and she has been so darn good about not bringing junk. Well I need to get off my butt and get ready for work.

Baby Detective
Well A - I have figured out how far along you are - youre in your 28th week. I had to use the little tidbitds you posted on your blog as my clues... So your little one is due right before my birthday (if she's born on my birthday you MUST name her JUDY! hehehe... just kidding). And that gives me about 12 weeks to finish this baby gift. I can't remember... do you generally go right around your due date or not? Both of my kids were just a little after their due dates. Anyway, making something lovely for the little lady - so you better not let her make a last minute switch and be a boy! ;o)

Why Are All The Hot Guys GAY???
So I'm perusing other people's blogs - something I do very rarely. I just clicked on a link on a blog I do read. The link was for a guys blog, he is HOT HOT HOT and GAY GAY GAY. WTF? It seems that all the guy bloggers who are hot and interesting to read are also GAY. Is it just me? Do I just have the taste of a gay man? (hmmm... that might explain why I ended up married to a gay man now wouldn't it...)
And speaking of GAY - the little people are watching Sponge Bob - the episode where he and Patrick find a little sea clam and decide to raise it. Patrick is the DAD, and SB the poor overworked, under appreciated MOM. hehehehehe... kills me... it's not the GAY-est of the SB's but it's up there (hubby and I debate this topic) - the one where they wrestle in spedos is THE GAY-est of the GAY episodes.
Speaking of Gay... hubby and I were talking about the upcoming vote on the Texas Sodomy law. I belive it's supposed to happen on Monday. Texas is one of only 4 states that have sodomy laws that apply to homosexuals only (I think it's only 14 states total that have sodomy laws on the books currently). Go to www.sodomylaws.org to check it out, you will be baffled by the way some of these laws read. In some states it's a felony and in other's it's a misdemeanor. Makes no sense....
More on stupid legal things in Texas later....

Frantic Friday
Got up early this morning so I could get an uninterupted shower before the little people woke. I expected them to be up by about 7:30 AM - that's about normal for them. They were still snoozing at 8 AM so I went back to bed for about half an hour. Then I dressed them and off we went to the post office. Today Super Girl insisted that she wanted to ride in the stroller, so I had to drag out the semi-stroller (double stroller) and got the joy of pushing 90 lbs of kid uphill to the post office. Luckily it's downhill to get home so it wasn't so bad, but hell I've had my work out for the day. When we got home I had just started cleaning when my home inspector showed up. *sigh* luckily she didn't seem to care much that the house was messy. I signed papers and she'll probably come out one more time next week and that's it. I was happy. I cleaned the house after she left - if she had just been 30 minutes later it would have been clean! oh well. She didn't care.
It's been a busy week. Court, sick kid, yesterday found out that Cabbage Patch's God Father had a massive heart attack (he's ok for now) and todays trip to the post office and house cleaning. Ah well, it's almost nap time (peace and quiet for me). So far a good day.
And how could I forget, Super Girl started dance classes this past Tuesday. It was so darn cute to see her in her dance clothes! She would NOT take them off when we got home hehehe... It's pre-ballet/tap class. I got a damn good deal on some used tap shoes when we registered also.

It's Over... Someone Pinche Me...
Went to court today, the State of Texas decided to close the case. I can't believe it. We didn't even have to go infront of the judge. I'm in shock but extremely happy. The lawyer for the State had to explain it to us twice because we were in such a state of shock. Just 8 days shy of a year and it's over. Thank The Good Lord. Tonight we are going to celebrate - I'm making a big pan of veggie lasagna with cookies for desert. I still can't believe it's over... I have my life back.

Day 3 of No DSL...
This is such a pain in the ass. I don't like having to use hubby's computer. It's just inconvenient. That and I don't have my bookmarks. And this bitch is SLOW.
Still alive. Suffering internet withdrawl (just kidding) and a bad case of monkey pox (cold/sinus thingie) - I'll be better soon.

Enough Already!
Sheesh... why am I in a pissy mood? Let me tell you.... Saturday my bitch of a boss calls and tells me NOT to go to the busy hospital that morning - the hospital I make most of my money at - but to just go to the small hospitals. I make one sale for the day. Later we go to WalMart to get Super Girls' ballet stuff. While we were out there were bad electrical storms, when we return the DSL modem is dead, dead, dead. DAMN. I spend an hour on the phone with technical support answering questions and being on hold, then they say someone will call withing 24 hours. k, what ever. Later that night I go upstairs to hubby's computer to get on the net, guess what, his modem is dead also (luckily he has several computers and one had the same modem in it - so I could get on, but it's SLOW). Today off to the busy hospital, sales were pittiful. Back home, kids hadn't napped, still up being brats. We go to this local carnival later after naps, it costs too much money but the kids were happy. Having dinner Super Girl can't stay out of the laundry room, finally she comes in and I see she's CUT her hair. She cut a LOT of her hair. So I had to even it up. Now her hair is shoulder length with short short bangs. Her hair had been waist length, so I'm pretty pissed off about it. In my anger at her doing this (she's done this before and been told NOT to cut her hair - she did this almost exactly a year ago and it had just grown out so that I could pull her bangs all wthe way back in pony tails) I said she could not start ballet on Tuesday. Now I'm wondering if I said too much. *sigh* never easy to be a parent.
Anyway I'll only be on sporatically until my new modem arrives. Pretend you miss me. ;o)

A - You are correct pronouciations of your childs name is EXTREMELY important. I am constantly correcting people on Cabbage Patch's name. When they hear it they say "Oh that's pretty" but when people read it they always say it wrong. Hell even my father-in-law says it wrong. It will drive you to drink if your in-laws can't say the baby's name correctly.
I like Sophie. It's always been a name that I loved. That and Elmira (hubby hated that one).
When is your little one due?

Baghdad museum was looted... Or was it?
A friend sent me this link. I read this story with great disgust. The last two lines in the article are quite profound and quite true. Sad and sickening.

Things That Made Me Smile Today
I got my Blue Willow china plate. I love it! It's beautiful!
My sister came over and hung out today. What fun. Lunch at Golden Coral with 2 sleepy kids (Cabbage Patch was falling asleep in her high chair!)
The song L put on her page for me. Thank you L, that did make me smile. Ironicly as I listened to the song the clouds burst forth in a dazzeling display of force. Strong storms for tonight, but I'll make it. ;o)

Texas, The Fascist Regime
I’m sure that little tidbit above is not new information to many people who reside in Texas, especially if you happen to be a parent, gay, poor or not have a ‘typical’ family life. L-rd help you if you happen to be any combination of the above listed, because the great state of Texas will not look upon you kindly. This I know from first hand experience. My family: hubby and I are parents, he happens to be gay, we do fall into the category of being poor and we don’t have a ‘typical’ family. This makes us criminal in the eyes of the extremely conservative and oppressive lawmakers of Texas. For those of you wondering, yes I am making vague references to the legal issues I’ve been dealing with for the past year. The state has actually run out of reasons to keep this case open… well legitimate reasons that is, as long as my husband is gay and we don’t have a cookie-cutter family they will not view us as anything but WRONG and will go out of their way to keep this case open. It’s amazing what unchecked power some departments in the State of Texas have. I have been stunned and disgusted by what the State of Texas has been allowed to force us to do. Yes force us to do. And without the benefit of any kind of representation. Innocent until proven guilty does not apply in all circumstances. In this case it was guilty with out benefit of being able to prove our innocents. There is so much misinformation and out right lies involved in this legal issue, but the state has no intentions of correcting any of it, after all if they did then it would prove our innocents in this issue. The absolute worst part is that we have virtually NO recourse in this matter. The laws protect this particular department of the State of Texas. We don’t even have the legal right to know exactly what we were accused of (we do know, we found out many months into this issue). Also the State of Texas can add allegations to the list against us, they don’t even have to have proof, just by virtue of them being who they are their word is taken as gospel truth. Our only option has been to hire a lawyer and comply with their demands. Our lawyer has just managed to keep the list of demands to a minimum. Even at that it’s still been an ongoing list of services that for SOME reason never seems to end. The service providers are baffled as to why we are continually subjected to the services and all of them end up saying the same thing, that there is no reason for us to be in the services and this is just a waste of resources by the State. Two professionals who were providing services actually refused to see us any longer unless the State could give compelling reasons for us to continue. Miraculously those services were listed as complete at our next hearing.
You’re probably wondering why I’m writing (vaguely at that) about my legal issues. Because I had my weekly visit from the State and was told that our case isn’t scheduled to be closed until the beginning of August. Yet again they are extending the length of the case. Our last hearing at the beginning of May should have been our final hearing, but the State put yet a new person in charge of our case (this is the 4th person to be on this case) and one of the lawyers for the State intimated that if we just complied this time for the extension we could be back in court next month (this month) and it would be the end. The new person on this case told me the first time she came for her visit that she didn’t think this would end for a few months. August would be 3 months of her being on this case. So next week we go to court knowing that this is just another day to waste time and incur more legal fees, as the case won’t be ending anytime before August. Great at least 2 more times in court… and at $250 an hour… each court hearing lasts from an hour and a half to 4 hours… we will be out a minimum of $500, I don’t even want to imagine what the maximum could be. The amount of money we have spent on lawyer fees could have bought us a new car (something we desperately need). Do I think this case will be over in August? No, I think the State will drag this out as long as possible (a full 18 months). Maybe we will be done with all of this by this Christmas.
The really sick part is how much of my tax dollars has gone to this.

Finding Nemo
Tonight we took the little people to see Finding Nemo. We had decided to take the little people to get ice cream and the theater is right next to the ice cream place. On impulse we checked to see when the next showing was - in 10 minutes! We got tickets and headed in (to spend way to much money on popcorn, drinks and candy). The little people were sooooooo good, they sat through the movie, stayed quiet and WATCHED the movie. I was shocked... and a little irritated that they treated daddy to a problem free movie, but noooooo they can't be good for just mommy... Sheesh... to be honest I think it was more the junk food than his presence. Anyway... I loved the movie. I got a huge kick out of the aquarium scenes. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
L - you must go see this movie. It's great. Don't worry about getting a kid to go see it with - I saw several adults sans kids there.

What song reminds you of your father? Of your mother?
My mother... well Take Me Home Country Road by Bob Denver - she used to sing that to me when I was really small and anything by The Manhattan Transfer, Kenny G or Yanni. She loved all of them. She would listen to them on Sunday morning on the back porch while she read the paper with her cat (named Yanni). My father... Inna-godda-davida - Iron Butterfly, I know he really likes that song. My former step-father, well any piece of crap by Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac or Moody Blues. Sheesh he used to listen to that All The Freaking Time! I hated them long before I disliked the man, now the songs make me want to vomit because they remind me of him. (although I like the Dixie Chicks version of Landslide - much better than the original)
What song reminds you of your sibling(s)?
My sister who is closest to me - this song by the Carpenters, it's something like 'On the day that you were born, the angels got together...' I don't know the name, I always call it the locust song (don't ask me why, makes me think of locust). D always sings that to me on my b-day. :oP Carol King's Tapestry album makes me think of her also. My brother, theres an old song by Yaz (of course it's old if it's by them), I can't remember what song it was, but I was visiting once and he had my walkman (ohhh remember thoes, just played the radio and tapes!), he was singing along to that song. He is sooooooo tone deaf I made him promise that he would NEVER sing along to that song again. hehehe...
My oldest sister and my step sister, well I really don't know them enough to associate a song with them.
What song reminds you of elementary school?
hehehehe... this made me laugh when I thought of it. Angel In The Centerfold by J Giles. It reminds me of my last year in elementary school walking home with my best friend singing that song.
What song reminds you of Jr. High?
Duran Duran! Anything by Duran Duran!
What song reminds you of high school?
Hmmm... early HS - Dokken - they did the song for that years Nightmare On Elm Street movie - 'In my dreams your still the same, your love is strong it still remains...' It also reminds me of this guy I had a major thing for, he had a thing for me, but some higher power kept us apart - thankfully - he was a scum! Later in highschool - The Cure - anything by The Cure, The Smiths, Echo and The Bunnymen, Psychadelic Furs (but of course!). Guns and Roses also - 'Welcome To The Jungle' - one of my friends could do an impression of Axel Rose that would crack everyone up (of course we were usually drunk when he did it). And who could forget George Michael 'I Want Your Sex'.
What song reminds you of college?
U2 "Rattle & Hum". I remember that came out when I was in college. I remember someone talking about going to see a U2 Concert once while I was waiting on class to start. I wasn't really in to U2 right then, I thought they had gotten to commercial. EVERYBODY liked them, EVERYBODY played them (to death). And I remember when the Zoo TV tour happened. I thought that was so stupid. Funny thing, I really like U2 now.
What song reminds you of the happiest time of your life?
Hmmm.. not so much a song as a genre of music. Swing music. It reminds me of when hubby and I took swing dance lessons. I loved that so much and we had so much fun. Every thing in our life was going so well.
What CD are you currently listening to, or did you last listen to? Is it from a genre you listened to as a teenager?
I've been listening to Everclear and disk 1 of Jesus Christ Superstar. Yeah I know, real happy stuff. I like it though. I get stuck on a CD I really like and will listen to it until I can't stand to hear it for a month or so. I listened to BNR's Gordon so much I can't listen to the whole CD anymore.
What CD in your collection would your teenage/younger self laugh at?
Anything that is my husbands HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
What CD/artist did you love when you were younger that you now cringe at?
Bon Jovi
Bonus question: what band most deserves a tribute album? What current artists should cover their songs?
(copying L here)Not a clue. I worry about my favorite artists getting screwed by the cover artists.

Never Too Young To Sell Out...
I read this article with surprise and disgust. As if it's not bad enough that the shoe companies are signing up 18 year olds and 13 year olds to endorsement deals, now they are using a 3 year old for marketing. I don't know what's worse, the company for using this little tyke to sell their name or the parents for exploiting their child. The parents and the company should both be bitch-slapped.

Boredom, Parenthood & Relationships….
L – Dallas sometimes feels as if nothing ever changes either. Time stands still. At least for me, I don’t have much of an exciting life. Occasionally I venture outside of this little cave I live my life in and find something mildly exciting. But generally I don’t, I tend to be on the safe side in most areas. Nothing wrong with that I suppose except it does get boring at times and I do get the feeling of life just rushing past me while I stand on the sidewalk just watching or worse not even noticing that it’s happening. Currently my life is not really like that – boring that is. I have more going on than I care to, mostly due to the legal issues going on and financial issues from my husband not having a permanent job and having to take a contract job that makes substantially less than he did before. I’m thankful for the contract job though; it’s better than no job at all. Anyway, what I’m trying to express is that you are not alone, EVERYONE just about EVERYWHERE has that feeling of nothingness and pointlessness. I doubt most people REALLY know where they are going or what options they have. Everyone HAS options, maybe not all good and maybe not any better than what they are currently doing, but EVERYONE has options. I think that most people just don’t pay attention to what their options are and many who do know tend to ignore the ones that involve doing things that scare them or that they feel are to difficult or too much of a risk to take. You’re in a rut. It’s normal. We all get into ruts. ;o) Try this… think about your life, list off the top 5 things that suck and you want to change (things about your life not about yourself), then list off the top 5 things that are great and you don’t want to change. Then ponder how you can make the 5 things off the suck list change without changing the 5 things on the great list. Then plan to go do something you have never done but have always wanted to do. Just a suggestion. (Feel free to roll your eyes up or make a sarcastic remark, I’ll never know unless you tell me.)
On to parenthood. I do understand your reluctance to want to procreate. Especially when you said “I am also extremely worried that any child I produce would inherit my physical problems and knowing what I go through, I can't bear the idea of bringing another person into this world who will have to go through the same thing.” This is something I also worry about, but not a whole lot. I don’t want my girls to have to deal with the weight issues I’ve had to deal with my whole life so I’m trying to teach them to have positive attitudes about food and not insist that they clean their plates. I know that my job as a parent and whether I do a good job or a crappy job will determine their attitudes and outlook as a adults so I try hard not to screw up completely (as I do feel my mother did more often than not). I worried about all of that more before I had kids than I do now, I think that’s why hubby and I were married 5 years before we had our first child. I was worried I’d be a shitty mother. I thank one of my counselors for telling me “You don’t have to become your mother.” It sounds simple and logical, like knowledge I should have always known, but it was absolutely profound. Like getting permission to do things MY way. It was still a few years after I learned that before I took the plunge and became a parent. As far as the not being able to sustain a relationship with any man who fathered a child with you. I don’t know that you really should worry all that much about it. My parents divorced when I was very small, my mother remarried a few years later, I didn’t have a relationship with my real father until I was 23. I don’t really think NOT having a relationship with him hurt me. On the other hand, I don’t think having a relationship with my former stepfather was always a possitive thing – it wasn’t always a good thing, but it wasn’t always a bad thing. Honestly I think my mother could have done a lot better for my sister and myself if she had of done it on her own and not relied on the support of other people – many of whom were experts at being negative influences in anyone’s life. Basically my thoughts are that there are a lot of worse things a woman can do other than raise a child by herself.
And on to love and relationships. I do believe there is someone out there for everyone… as long as your willing to go out there and look for that person (many people want to believe there is someone out there but they don’t want to get off their ass and look for that someone, but would rather that this person just fall into their lap… which really doesn’t happen). I’m not sure I believe in ‘soulmates’, I really don’t know… maybe… but then again maybe not. I had to laugh at your statement of “I once had an affair, where the person just walked up to me out of the blue and said "You are very attractive. Wanna get it on?" (well, okay, it was a little more sophisticated than that, but not by much) and without thinking about it at all, I said yes, and we did it for about six months.” That’s so funny, I had a similar experience of a man telling me “You are very attractive. Wanna get it on?” (except not quite so sophisticated at all) and without thinking at all (due to my drunken state) I said yes and we did it for about 3 or 4 hours. (I know slutty of me, but I was in college). I am almost always willing to take a chance on love. I think that means I end up with my heart broken more than I like, but I really don’t mine. I would rather have loved and lost than to not have loved at all. Cliché, I know, but true. I’m a perpetual optimist in some areas.
Peace And Quiet...
Currently the little people are at the pool with their daddy. He took them to the pool as soon as he got home. They were so damn excited. And so was I! An hour of me time! Woohoo! I wish I had something more intresting and exciting to do than just sit here pounding away at the keyboard with the news on in the background. Although watching the news is a HUGE deal for me. I never get to watch the news. In a contest between me watching the news while having to hear the little people whine or watch moronic cartoons and have non whining kids - I'll go for cartoons every time.
So I did end up cleaning the house, just could not stand the mess. I didn't do the dishes or finish the laundry though. I can stay in the living room and pretend they don't exsist. Denial is an important part of life.
L - I do love the new pics on your page. The bon-bons make me want chocolate. Lots of chocolate. LOTS AND LOTS of chocolate. mmmm...
I do have the same problem of telegraphing my emotions by the look on my face. I used to think I didn't do that but after having been informed continuously that I DO I have come to realize that I do. It makes life difficult at times. Trying to keep a neutral look on my face when I'm thinking "What a fucking idiot." or "Shut the fuck up." And with my current legal issues, it does make my life challenging. I also have a problem with my tone as well. I often can't keep my tone neutral either so even on the phone I give myself away. That sucks. I'm so transparent. When I'm angry with my husband he doesn't even have to ask, he knows, he just avoids me (probably a smart move...). Although when I was on Zoloft, I think I could keep my moods/thoughts to myself... that's one vote for Zoloft. ;o)
Just me rambling now... I need to finish dinner before the family comes back from the pool.

Completly Unmotivated...
That's how I feel today. I need to clean house and I just don't freaking want to. You see... yesterday I work, and I had a pretty good day of work. Decent sales, not to many babies to take, no really crappy people do deal with. Upon returning home I discovered that hubby had let the little people mess up the living room. They were all taking naps and the livingroom that I have worked so hard to keep clean all week was a wreck. Yesterday after I took a nap, the house was even more of a mess. I prodded the little people to clean some but my efforts did not extend to my husband. I even told him that since he had been here and allowed the little people to make such messes he needed to help them clean it up all he did was shoot me a dirty look (which prompted me to turn away from him lest I act on my homicidal impulses that his dirty look caused).
Now... I have a mountain of laundry to do, clean the livingroom, dishes to do... and I don't want to do any of it. Hell I'm still in my night gown (the little people are dressed but I slipped my night gown on after baths). Well I better get with it and clean up before the house is unrecognizable. Hell if I don't clean it I know it sure as hell won't get done. Maybe while I clean I'll find my motivation, I have so much to do; cleaning, laundry, dishes, E-Bay listings...
OK, I'm done whining... ;o)

L - I'm with you. Same feeling of being kind of depressed and pent up. *sigh* I would think that today I'd be feeling so much different. I didn't work so no pressure there, no need for a nap... but not so. I mean I didn't have a bad day at all. The little people were pretty good, the house is clean and I made a kick ass cake today for 2 friends birthdays (I'll post the picture a little later) - Yin Yang cake with yummy butter cream frosting. Went grocery shopping this morning before hubby went to game day. Everything went great. But... I don't know... feeling kind of depressed. *sigh* I wonder if it's hormonal. Wish I could have the wine and chocolate L, I bet that would make everything feel better. I do have chocolate, have had chocolate today even, but I think the lack of wine - good wine - is making the chocolate less effective at lifting this haze of mild depression. Wine... or antidepressants. hmmm... I often wonder if I should get back on the Zoloft. I did like the totally even mood the Zoloft gave me but I kind of DIDN'T like it... too even of a mood. I mean it was great because very little that the little people did bothered me, hell very little of anything bothered me, but that's not always a GOOD thing. I am a passionate person and I react strongly to most things in life (not always a good thing though) and I just wasn't like that when I was on the Zoloft... really no strong emotions. Not that I wasn't happy or didn't get upset, but I didn't get happy or upset to any extreme. Just even. hmmmm maybe if the Zoloft was in a weaker dose, eh, I don't know that I really need it.
Really I'm just rambling. People are over right now and I'm somewhat bored with what is going on. I'm not in the game currently so I'm bored and I'm being a shit by being on the computer. Very rude of me to do this. I'm so rude. And bored. Rude and Bored. Rude and Bored. Rude Bored Rude Bored Rude Bored.... hmmmm I need sleep.

A - look we have something in common!

You're Death! All that's known is that you exist!
You could be anywhere, at any time, and strike
at anymoment! Faceless, silent, mysterious, you
are truely a mystery wrapped in an enigmatic
veil.
What Crazed Horror Movie Psycho Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

You are the lucky one. You lived on pure wit (or
being a virgin) you are the only one who lived.
Time to celebrate and plan for the sequel!
When will you die in a horror movie?
brought to you by Quizilla
Well that's a suprise. Me the virgin, as if!

On The Edge...
Damn, I hate this. I'm on the verge of doing some serious venting. I know that no one really gives a damn about that kind of shit so I don't really want to bore the hell out of the 3 people who actually read this crap I write. BUT I'm still here teetering on the edge of this great abiss called bitching. I have a great deal of stress currently and for some reason that is making me want to have an hour long bitch-fest. Well actually I did do that - on my anniversary on the way to the restaraunt (damn what a patient man I am married to), so maybe a 2 hour bitch-fest.

What's In A Name?
A - this is for YOU!!! Don't name that baby until you've been HERE! hehehehehe... I went there, I put my own name in, it made me giggle. ;o)

A - I feel for you. I truly sympathize. I know what it's like to be late in pregnancy and it be summer here in Texas. It sucks. Well it being your 3rd baby and you not paying all that much attention to how you eat and how much exercise you get - you are definitly not alone in this. Heck that's how I was my FIRST pregnancy! (remember all the trips to Taco Bell with me? or the fact that I had a malt just about every day of my last trimester?) Besides, bran muffins suck. Go have a Coke - it will make you feel better. ;o)

A - I'm glad you have a name in mind for the baby. ;o) Emma Lisanne is a pretty name. I especially like Lisanne, Emma is a nice name, she'll probably have several playmates named Emma in her class as Emma is a VERY popular name. (Came in #4 in 2002 according to the Social Security office ... you can even check to see what were the top names the year we were born - your's is in the top 10.)
Some interesting baby name finder sites that made me laugh.

Anyway, I know how hard it is to come up with a name for your baby, especially one you hope everyone will like... AND not get into a serious arguement with your spouse. Hope this little one is eaiser on you in that area! ;o) Whatever you name that little girl will be a perfect name for her.

Lebanese Food And Willow
We had a lovely and delicious dinner at Ali Baba. mmmmmmmmm... it was wonderful. Cabbage Patch loves humus. I had the chicken curry (I always do); Super Girl split the gyro plate with her sister. Super Girl had to be BRIBED to try things... damn she's picky. Cabbage Patch ate the humus with the bread and the eggplant dip. She tried some of the meat but mostly wanted the rice that came with our dinners. We completed dinner with baklava. I opted for a pistachio pastry that was very interesting. Blew all my carbs for the day, but damn it was worth it.
On returning home, I saw that L had posted a link about willow - a lovely china, not a funky plant or a lesbian witch off Buffy. II LOVE that pattern, so I searched online for the best price and after an extensive search at a china replacement site, I bought one plate for $6! My anniversary present to me. :o) I guess I could say it was from hubby, he liked it also.
There is a legend that goes along with the willow china (scroll down on the page listed above) although it's not considered to be from China where the original design came from, but from England where the design gained popularity and was copied (and still is today). There are also several poems both long and short that have been composed for this particular willow pattern. (Check out the poem links at the top of the page listed above). I doubt any of the listed poems originated with the original design (a couple of things were added to the design when the English started producing their version. Still very interesting.

Number 9... Number 9... Number 9
Anyone remember that stupid song? hehehehe... well today is my 9th wedding anniversary. I had all but forgotten it until a few days ago. Hubby forgot until yesterday. The 9th anniversary is the pottery or willow anniversary... what the hell? I liked a different page that lists the 9th anniversary as the leather anniversary. Yeah! I like the sound of that one!
Anyway, tonight we are going to go have Lebanese food (G-d I love Lebanese food! Humus... mmmmmm). I guess this anniversary thing should register more than a faint blip on the radar, but it really doesn't. It's really just another day. I think after being married so long it just doesn't mater all that much. I don't need a special day to be thankful that we married. We might not have a typical marriage, but we are happy. ;o)
ps - D - 7 years is the wool anniversary. Good luck finding something for that!

L - That sucks about the cut. Yes you probably should have gotten a Band-Aid for that. Chances are it won't heal shut nice and flat and you will have a scar there as a constant reminder to buy Band-Aids. ;o)
Me, well I have hundreds of Band-Aids, I have two kids, I have to have Band-Aids (of all sizes) at all times - I even have liquid Band-Aids (I've had this particular bottle for 4 years - burns like a mother when you put it on). That and tubes of Neosporin and other types of antibiotic ointment. That being said, my own cuts generally don't get the attention that my little one's cuts do, and certainly not adequate attention. I'm lucky in that I heal very quickly, but unlucky in that I scar VERY easily. Eh, it's a trade off I suppose. Good luck with your boo-boo.

What Was I Thinking?!?!?!?!
Yesterday I tried to take the little people to see Finding Nemo but all the tickets were sold out by the time we got there. *sigh* Super Girl takes after her father a lot - she's hard to get going. Anyway, I planned to take the little people to the first showing this morning at 11:10 am but I had 2 visits this morning and the second one ran longer than I had anticipated so we couldn't make that showing. The next showing was right at nap time, and although I DID consider taking them to the noon showing, that was a short lived consideration as they were BOTH acting mildly possessed so I opted for them to take naps instead. Super Girl got up from her nap with just enough time for us to make the 2:35 PM showing and we made it out of the house and to the theater with 10 minutes to spare... unfortunately there was a line already and all of the tickets for the 2:35 PM and the 4:00 PM showing were sold out. Yesterday when I told Super Girl that the tickets were sold out, she cried all the way home; I really didn't feel like dealing with that AGAIN today. I quickly scanned the marquee to see what else we could see that would be ok for a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. Daddy Daycare was the winner. We go in and start watching about 10 minutes in Super Girl informs me that she is thirsty. So out we all go to get drinks - I get the girls small drinks and popcorn, this appeases the natives for a short while. 20 minutes later Super Girl has to go to the bathroom. Out we all go to the bathroom. 20 more minutes and the kids are starting to be whiney. We've run out of popcorn, have no candy and the drinks are empty. I'm out of luck. Cabbage Patch starts screeching on and off and Super Girl says she has to go to the bathroom again. So... out we go again, this time I decide we won't go back in. Even though it's a matinee showing that only cost $2 a person, I think the other patrons have suffered enough at the little people’s hands. Super Girl does NOT have to go to the bathroom after all and gets VERY upset when I tell her that we are going HOME and not BACK to the movie. She whines about wanting to see Daddy Daycare, but too late it's time to go home.
NEVER AGAIN will I take my two children to see a movie by myself. That was insane.
My review of Daddy Daycare - cute movie.

Weekend Trip To The Ren Faire
This weekend I worked 10 hours on Saturday so I would not have to come in on Sunday and instead go with my family to the renniassance faire. (I'll vent about working 10 hours in a bit) We got there around noon (yeah bad planning on our part - it was freaking HOT). Then we searched for D, it took about an hour to find her. She was in parade at the time, so we hooked up after. Cabbage Patch was getting whiney she had gotten sunscreen in her eye and was hot. Luckily hubby we had packed water bottles and snacks for the little people, so she was a bit relieved by the water, but still not happy. After D was done with parade we hooked up with her and walked around. We ran into some old friends that we hadn't seen in about 6 and a half years - very odd. One was a man I never thought would do well in life, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that he was doing pretty well. Super Girl wanted to become a lady so at 4 when they do the little ceremony we stood inline, I got pictures. hehehe... so cute! While I was standing to the side taking pictures someone had a beautiful rose delivered to me, from "One who admires you from afar for your sheer animal magnitism." hehehehe... damn that does something for a girl! I was thrilled and had no clue as to who would have sent the lovely rose. (I did find out later and was even more thrilled)
Anyway, we all were exhaused by the time we left, the little people were a little more brown (actually Cabbage Patch has really brown legs - except in the creases of her chubby little baby legs! Soooo cute!) and I was ready to sleep.
Godzilla Is Spectacular!
Yesterday the Father's Day present I ordered for hubby arrived. That meant that MY present arrived also - Godzilla 2000! I love that movie. We put it in the DVD after Cabbage Patch went to bed. Super Girl was so darn funny. At first she was a little scared, but her daddy and I assured her that Godzilla isn't scary, he's just a guy in a rubber suit. At one point when Godzilla was stomping around she said "Mommy can I close my eyes?" hehehehe She started to get into the movie and was cheering for Godzilla. While Godzilla was fighting Alien-zilla she said "Mommy cover my eyes!" once. It made us laugh. At the end of the movie she stood up and proclaimed "Godzilla is spectacular!" I think so also. There were no night mares or anything last night either, she loved Zilla (as she usually refers to him). It brought a tear to my eye as I remember being her age and loving Godzilla - he was my hero!
NOTE: The other monster in this movie is Orga not Alien-zilla. Thanks Jake for that one. ;o)

My Daughter Is Getting Married...
She just informed me of this. At the tender age of 4 and a half she is taking a husband. I'm a little concerned about the age difference as her prospective husband is in his 20's or so. I guess I should be more concerned about the fact that my youngest daughter is definitly attracted to her big sisters man. Well to be honest he probably has thousands and thousands of young female admirers, so her married life may be difficult at first. Yes, yes he's a celebrity, so there is the worry of my oldest child getting mixed up in the Hollywood scene - although he does seem like a very down to earth person, he even has a very nice dog - everybody loves his dog. My daughter is going to marry Joe from Blues Clues. hehehehe... she's so cute... and she's got good taste in men - Joe's a cutie! Off for now, must start planning a wedding. ;o) (making lunch that is)

Saturday Already?
Damn... it's been such a busy week. I can't believe I haven't had a moment to write any nonsense on this page. Not that I haven't had things I wanted to write about - I just haven't had time! Let me see if I can summarize:
Memorial Day Weekend
I worked as usual - super busy at the hospitals. Memorial day I sleept. Sunday night we had friends over for hypnosis, munchies and board games. Hubby and I got into a disagreement about which Doritos are the original flavor. I say it's the Nacho Cheese flavor (red bag), he says it's the yellow bag which is just corn chips. I had requested the bag of chips so I could eat many chips on my car loading day (that's what I call the one day of the week that I don't count carbs). grrrr.... He did get Triscits and squeezy cheese. mmmmmm.... Peter and jenna also brought Triscits and squeezy cheese. Peter does cracker art... pornographic cracker art... I will post the picture a bit later. After the porn crackers the conversation of course went to SEX and we chatted for a couple of hours about sex (no subject of limits there!) that was interesting... very very interesting.
Tuesday I had my braces tightened. I spent over 2 hours with all this crap. I get to the office, the computer system of the orthodontists office is down and they are running late. I finally get back there, they have a bitch of a time getting an adjustment made knocking off two brackets in the process. When I get home Peter (who was baby sitting for me) was playing Candy Land with the little people - Super Girl won (Cabbage Patch wasn't really playing by the official rules, she kept taking her piece off the board and walking around the room, only to return to the board and slide her piece around babbling incoherently like a little alchoholic on a bender).
Thursday I went to my sisters house to help her do a bit of organizing. We did that and a lot of talking.
Friday D came over and we worked on her costume. I remade her petticoat, I think it's a much better item now. She brought her machine over so I could see if it worked, it did. Until I was at the very last thing - the waist band of the dress! Then I broke 4 needles. We went to Wal-Mart in the middle of all this - that always takes an hour or more. We spent $35 and headed back to my place. I got the waist band on with much effort. I'm not pleased with it though, I will do it again later, after I get the two machines fixed. She and I are going to start sewing and selling stuff.
One of the cutiest things I made was Monkey Sandwich. A sock monkey. My sister has always wanted (read: lusted for, coveted, been obsessed with) a sock monkey. I found the materials from a kit I purchased many many years ago. I had planned to surprise her with Monkey Sandwich but I couldn't get working on it when she wasn't here. So I just started making it for her when she got here. Part way though I slipped up and said it was for her (dumb me!) so I blew the surprise! Anyway she LOVES Monkey Sandwich. I think I'll make an albino monkey for a friend for her (white socks instead of the red heeled socks used to make the sock monkeys).
Anyway, enough of this, I need to get on to work!

A & L - Sorry to hear about your mom - not just for the break but for all the rest. That sucks so much. That Dr. should have his lisence revoked. My grandmother at one time had a Dr. like that, he would perscribe her so many drugs she was in a constant fog. Sadly that was the better part of my child hood that she was like that so I really have no memories of her as anything but a strange and funny old woman. I think later in life after my grandfather passed away she went to a differnt Dr. and was taken off 90% of the medications the original Dr. had perscribed and was a different person, sadly she was permanently disabled by then, not much more than a weak old woman who needed full time care. Anyway - I hope your mom heals really quickly, I like her a lot (I know she makes both of you absolutly crazy - she's always been really sweet to me).

Googlisms
I went to Googlism.com and put in my name... this is what I got:
judy is an herbalist and teacher in the wise woman tradition (not completly true)
judy is one of the presenters for "bridging the gap" (not even close)
judy is our official customer assistance epicenter (Oh am I?)
judy is the single mother of hannah (Ummmm.... not a chance...)
And for my husband:
is a well known worship leader (Really? This is new to me...)
is less we ll known in the uk (Well that's kind of disapointing.)
is a worship leader with an enthusiastic style that reflects intimacy with god (I'm going to ask him why he's not getting paid for all this work...)
is a worship leader (worshiping what?)
is probably one of my all time favorite worship leaders (Hmmm... he's even got his own fan club.)
is no 'johnny (Actually he is a Johnny. He attended St. John's College in KS, so that makes him a Johnny.)
is featured on the fourth song “holy elements” (Hmm... I knew he could sing but I didn't know that.)
is an awesome writer and worshiper (not quite.)
is awesome (sheesh... another fan.)
is de andere leider (ummmmm.... oooookay... if you say so)
Yeah I'm in a weird mood today. Frustrated from trying to make the other template work for 2 hours and not being able to. damn...

L- Yes keep your site. I like all your cool stuff you put up. I am a broke-dick and can't really afford a site nor justify one currently (maybe later when I start doing my sewing business more). Of course if you move out East... that name will have to change.
And on moving to the New England area - you should talk to my sister D - she lived in New Hampshire for a couple of years when she first married her first husband (or was it more than a couple... I think it was).
I loved the comment about people there having larger asses than people in California. But be honest, that's true of anywhere that ISN'T California. California has the largest population of Plastic Surgeons. And I would imagine that the amount of fat sucked out of California could eaisly feed a starving 3rd world country for a year. When my sister and I were in LA 4 years ago, I felt like a side show attraction - FATTEST WOMAN IN LA - the only cool thing was that NO ONE noticed, LA is so full of freaks I doubt there is anything that would make the average LA resident flinch. Eh, but I digress... I'm very intersted in where you might end up, the New England area sounds nice, but I've only been there once.

Silence Is Golden
Ahhhh... I feel like I've gone to heaven. It's totally quiet here (except for the washer and dryer). The little people are napping!!! YES! The laundry is ALMOST ALL done! WOOOHOO!!! And the house is all clean. Yee-haw! All I need is someone to call me up for a little phone naughtiness ;o) and I'll be set. hehehehehe.... you think I'm kidding... hehehe
Yesterday I bought a set of finger paints for Super Girl. After Cabbage Patch went down for her nap I broke them out for her only to discover they were all congealed. And not like dry tempra paints, like jello - kind of dried out. So I put some water in them - hell I wasn't going to tell her that they were messed up, to bad so sad, no paints for you - no way! I didn't want to listen to her whine about finger paints for 45 minutes. So I made them usable - not like normal paints, just usable and she was more than happy. She loves to make a mess and this was classic mess for her. She did produce two works of 'art' that I will keep. I'll post them later.

3XThursday : 05/22/03 : Corporate Ethics Policy Handbook thanks to Jake for the questions (finally, some questions I can answer!!)
1. What do you think is totally unethical but legal?
Hmmmm... it's legal for someone to phone in a complaint to CPS (even on the tiniest amount of evidence or worse on none at all just plain evilness) and ruin someone's family but it's totally unethical.
2. What do you think is ethical but illegal?
Medical marijuana.
3. So who do you think is more unethical? Porno actors or politicians?
Politicians are more unethical most of them lie about their positions and views for thier political support and monitary gain. Porn stars are straight up about their positons (and how many they can get into) and we all know where their money comes from. I prefer to know I'm being fucked (and like the look of them) than to be fucked without warning (and so many politicians are just plain ugly).
Bonus Question for Comments: So are white lies good or bad?
for the most part lies are just bad - even white lies - unless you are counting the "does this dress make me look fat?" answer as a lie, that's usually self preservation speaking when one answers "nooooooo" (although I've been known to be flat out honest on that question before - brutally honest, that's how I've been described). If it's a little white lie to not hurt someones feelings or embarass them (no your look great in that dress, that color is really you, etc.) then it's not a bad thing, but if it's manipulative in anyway or done to be hurtful to anyone at all - then it's bad.

Siamese Twins
Tonight hubby and I preformed a delicate operation to separate a set of conjoined twin cookies.
Here they are before the dangerous opperation.
The doctor and I attempting the risky separation. The doctor was attempting to slice through the connective layer.
Here is the actual moment when the two were separated.
Unfortunatly the first one was incomplete and could not survive the separation. The other twin died shortly there after due to complications (of the medical assistant shoving it in her mouth).
Here is the greiving parent. She's very torn up. Last I saw the doctor was taking her to console her on the loss of her twins. I think he took her for a glass of milk...

My True Geekiness
I just took this test, I scored a 27.81065% - Total Geek on the test. hehehehe... I can't wait to see what hubby scores... I know he's a total geek and he's actually contributed to my geek score, so I KNOW he will score higher - Grand Master Geek I think. Test your geekiness.

Strange Side Streets
Out of boredome, I was looking at peoples blogs.. or should I say looking at blogs of people that I do not know. I generally don't do this as I find most of what unknown people blog about their pittiful lives to be absolutly boreing and a waste of cyber space - the same could be said about this site I'm sure. Sometimes I find one that's particularly interesting and I keep reading, sometimes I will e-mail that person and get to know them, most of the time not. Occasionally I will try to figure out about the person by looking at other blogs linked to their page. That just leads to other strange pages... like one I just saw - someone talking about a girl he saw the night before, that she looked trashy but he really wanted to fuck her, etc... and he had this picture of her (or someone he thought looked like her - not sure... don't care) it was sureal, but somewhat interesting. Although most of the random blogs I come across are dreadfully boreing... some people should not blog or at least not have it public, write in a diary and keep it under your bed... don't bore the rest of society with your sad sad life. If you can't come up with anything more interesing than "I got up, had a cup of coffee, went to work, that was 8 hours well spent, came home, fed the dog, made meatloaf, that was good. Off to bed now, what a busy day." you shouldn't be bloging, you should be looking for something to make your lame life interesting... or at least make it SOUND intersting. Yeah I know I'm a bitch... and I'm not even PMSing! hehehe... anyway, if your listed in my links then I don't find you painfully boreing - so don't worry, I'm not directing this post at you. :o)

The Curse Of The Spider!!
Dang it L! You cursed me to have an icky spider in my bathroom this morning! This is a picture of him after I sprayed him liberally with hair spray. The little fucker didn't die right off though. When I ran to the livingroom to get my camera he crawled under some of my clothes - I had to search for the vile creature so I could flush it down the commode! EWWWWWWW!!!! Anyway this is a picture of it after I found it under my clothes, it's all streached out - I guess dieing of hairspray poisoning.
It's actually not a very large spider, so the picture is kind of distored being blown up so large - but fuck it creeped me out as if it had been this large!

L - More spider talk... eeeeeewwwww.... At one time when the exterminator was visiting my place I asked him about spiders - specifically how to rain death down on them and eradicate them from my abode - he told me that there is not a whole hell of a lot you can do other than spraying them when you see them or stomping them. He explained that spiders are not like other bugs like roaches, crickets and ants who drag their bodies or clean them selves so putting out bait or spraying for them won't work (because thoes methods require the bug to either eat the poison or walk through it then ingest it - spiders won't do either). So unless you have an infestation of something like brown recluse, which would mean your whole house would need to be tented fumigated. Although I have heard of little sticky traps you can put out that they get caught on then eventually die of exhaustion from trying to get away or from hunger or what ever.... they seem far to disgusting for me, I'll just keep spraying spiders with what ever spray I have handy and smacking them with shoes when there is none.
On a spraying spider funny note. Once when I lived in my house a big ass nasty spider was in my shower. I looked for something to spray on it, the first thing I found was a can of the foaming bathroom cleaner. I sprayed the vile creature lurking in my shower and of course the bubbles covered completly and some. So I watched the lump of bubbles as it started to slide down the tile wall from the heaviness. Just when I was sure it was dead, I saw it struggling from mound of cleaning fluids so I sprayed some more. This went on for a few moments (spider struggling out, me spraying more) until I started to get a buzz from the fumes and I was pretty damn sure the creepy little beast had perished or was so high from the fumes that it certainly could not climb out of it's foamy tomb. Later I carefully got the shower massager and washed the lump down the drain - hubby had to remove the spider corpse (I insist all spider corpses be flushed just incase they recover from my toxic efforts) a task he did not appreciate me asking of him.

L- YIKES! ICK! BLECK! Spider!!! EEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!! (doing the crazy scary spider dance) Did you actually take a picture of the horrid spider that was stalking you and hiding under your bed just waiting to pounce on you when you least expect it and are most vunerable? (can you tell I don't like spiders?) If you did - EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! If that's an actual pic of your spider, it's not a brown recluse (I didn't think they hung out in SF) - wrong shape. Could be a black widow, but not totally likely as they (and the br) are spiders that like to be in dark hiding places like dark garages, under rocks, in wood piles - also BW are web spiders and generally stay on thier webs. At least that what I was told in my Red Cross First aid class. Even knowing all that... I'd still check that bastard out to make sure it's not something more horrible than a garden spider (which I still find vile). In fact I've looked up spiders after killing then in my home just be be sure it wasn't a BR hanging out, getting ready to colonize my home and kill me in my sleep. (note: BR also like to hide in closets and clothes... my nephew got bit twice last year - two bites on his stomach - the little blighter was probably in his clothes or sheets when he went to bed - he got pretty damn sick from the bites) Anyway good luck in identifying your icky intruder - I'm glad I'm not the only one who will spray a spider with hairspray (I'll actually spray then with anything I can reach until they stop moving - I don't care what it is just as long as they stop moving long enough for me to smack it repeatedly with a big shoe).
A - don't mention anything about accumulating bad karma for killing the spiders. ;o)

L - I'm truly jealous of your garden. How funny that you post pictures of your lovely garden, just yesterday I was wondering if you had a garden at your new place. It's sooooo lovely. I wish I had a garden like that, all I have is a small collection of plants in pots that tend to get over heated in this Texas heat (it's already in the 80's here normally as I'm sure you remember). I'm hopeing that my one pot of flower seeds that I planted will bloom, but you never can tell here, we could have a super hot and dry summer (I suspect we will) and the grass hopper population could have a boom, thus eating everything green in their path. I planted some tomatos and some herbs in another pot, but that has died ALREADY - how sad, spring isn't even over and half of my 'garden' has already perished... (I guess it's really no wonder I've killed off so many fish in the aquarium when you figure in my luck with the garden.) Anyway, must be off for now.
Coming Of Age As a Mom
Tonight I realized that I’m truly no longer a novice at this mom stuff. How do I know this? Let me tell you what just happened in my home this evening.
It all started when hubby got home, the little people were restless (read: bratty) after an entire day of being cooped up in the house – damn the rain! I guess they just couldn’t hold the naughtiness in any longer. Anyway I made dinner and we all ate (except the kids who turned their noses up at everything except the ketchup and the iced tea). After some playtime I gave the little people bathes and then it was off to bed. As usual, hubby took the kids up to bed and read them stories. All was quiet… which is unusual… and should have piqued our suspicions… but it didn’t. We wanted to believe that the little people were asleep because we wanted a little peace and quiet. How foolish of us. We’ve been parents for 4 and a half years, we know that peace and quiet is always the sign of mischief! Eventually – an hour and a half after kids were put in bed – we hear crying upstairs, hubby goes to investigate. I listen from the bottom of the stairs. The moment I hear him say, “Where is that blood coming from?” my mommy senses kick in. I walk up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, hubby is cleaning something off the baby and looking for blood. I immediately see that it’s coming from her knee, as evidence by the two streams of blood that are down to her ankle. Hubby sees her knee about the same time I do. I wipe her leg off, see that she’s still bleeding, instruct hubby to hold the towel on her leg while I go get ointment and Band-Aids. After a quick trip to my bathroom for Band-Aids and ointment I return. Looking over the baby, who is no longer crying, I realize that she’s got something all over her legs, kind of soapy feeling – and I’ll have to clean off her leg before I put the Band-Aids on. While doing the clean up, I ask hubby if the kids broke something and what is all over the baby. He says no he doesn’t think they broke anything and that it’s foot scrub and toothpaste that the little people were spreading over the guest bath (the info on the tooth paste part came from the oldest who said “Sorry mamma about the toothpaste on the floor.” At least she told me what it was.) I ask again if there was anything that was broken because the baby has three puncture wounds in her knee. He looks around and discovers something in the tub – part of a game (a sand timer thingie). There are pieces of glass in the tub and on the floor. Sheesh Nothing like kids causing a little chaos before bed. Three Band-Aids later (had to make it hard for her to pick them off) a change of jammies and a sippy cup of milk spiked with Tylenol, it’s all over (and quiet for now). Anyway, I realized that I’ve truly come of age as a mom, I didn’t get upset when I saw the rivers of blood down my toddlers leg, I was able to calmly give everyone orders on what to do, I could clean off the baby and bandage her wounds while lecturing the oldest about the naughtiness that they were engaged in tonight and make a subtle threat as to what will happen if they get out of bed again tonight. And it all took less than 15 minutes! Wow! What a night!

L- your right, June is a crappy time of year to get married in Texas. I got married in June. It was 1994 - the same year as the OJ crap - that happen just shortly before my wedding - and it was HOT HOT HOT in Texas that year. Awful hot and humid. Thankfully we had everything IN DOORS but it was still stuffy in the church. My husband's best friend got married 2 weeks after we did - also in Texas. It was even hotter then. Just awful. What a stupid idea to get married in June. By the time I had second thoughts on the date, I was already locked in and couldn't change it. Oh well.
Good luck to your brother, I hope everything is beautiful for him. Maybe we can finally meet up when your here for the wedding! It's worth a try.
A- if one more person in your department dies tragically, you get the hell out of there! I'm starting to think that place is CURSED - and hell woman, you've had more than enough bad luck already.

The Whole Story
Saturday is just a blur of activity. I had planned to have my hubby’s birthday that day. People were coming over for a game and I had already e-mailed them of my little plan. About a week earlier I had told hubby that he wasn’t going to get a birthday anymore (it’s a long running joke with us, I tell him every year that he doesn’t get a birthday because May is just too damn busy). I got all our friends to ‘vote’ whether he would get a birthday or not, my reason was that he was never really born, but an alien so he doesn’t get one, plus May is a really busy month. Everyone ‘votes’ that no he doesn’t get one. I had already told everyone that no I wasn’t going to be that much of a bitch to him, but that we would do his birthday at the game as a surprise for him. The night before I had managed to bake a cake and hide it in the oven. The next morning I got up and iced it before I went to work (hiding it in the oven again) – Said a little prayer that he would not get the urge to fix a frozen pizza for the little people for lunch. I headed to the store after work and got some icing gel to write on the cake, a couple of cards from the little people and dinner for that night. I get home, the little people are napping, hubby is napping (there’s a lot of napping that happens in this house) – I get the cake and write happy birthday on it, then hide it again. Later friends come over, a couple were late – damn them! – so I was nervously trying to keep him out of the kitchen while I waited. After they got here I brought out the cake, he was totally surprised, he actually thought I had talked all his friends into ignoring his birthday. They all gave him the same thing – DICE! (stupid geeky story to that – he lost all his dice at a game day a couple of months ago, so I suggested to everyone to get him gaming stuff – dice specifically – and EVERYONE gave him dice – HAHAHAHAHA!) He love it. I’m glad I could give him a nice birthday – he’s had it kind of rough, he was out of work since the beginning of March – luckily he started a contract job on the 14th (his actual birthday) hopefully it will work out to be a permanent job – and the person he was dating kind of turned out to be a bit on the flaky side and unreliable. So no job, no love life, the least I could do was surprise him for his birthday. And as a bonus for me, I got to try out a new recipe for his b-day cake. :o) (I love to cook).

My Evil Plot
This entire week I've been plotting against my husbands birthday. I have been telling him I would abolish his birthday on the grounds that there is no actual proof that he was in fact born and not some evil alien experiment gone bad. I manipulated his friends (our gaming group) in this plot. We took a vot as to whether he would get a birthday or not, and everyone agreed that he would not. Actually I was just planning a surprise for hubby's birthday. With the help of our friends I convinced hubby that he would get NO birthday. In reality I was planning to have a cake and surprise him at the game. I'll fill in more details after I get back from work, must go shower now.

Lack Of Antidepressants OR Just Really Bitchy
I sit here wondering if I'm just a bitch, or I need to get back on my Zoloft... and if I need to get back on my Zoloft, doesn't that really mean that I'm jsut a real bitch deep down? Hmmm... something worth thinking about... Is Zoloft the only thing that has kept me worth being around?
Anyway back to what I was talking about... if in fact I really was talking about anything at all. Fuck! It's nosy around here and I'm about to start bitch slappin'! Damn there is this one person that comes over for games that get's my kids all wound up and acting crazy. Grrr... stupid bitch.

Best Damn Curry Yet!
Tonight hubby cooked. He called for Chinese delivery. We made ramen noodles for the kids because they NEVER eat what we get them - and this time was absolutly no different, even though we didn't order a meal for them, we did order egg rolls for them, but they would not eat them AT ALL. I got the Curry Chicken, extra hot. Hubby could smell my food through the sealed container. Oh man it was good. At one point it felt like my nose hairs were being burnt! Oh mamma that was good! I know later tonight I will hear about my dinner choice from the natives who worship the Stomach God (who lives in my gut). I'll be sleeping and suddenly awaken to pounding drums in my stomach, hear the chanting of the natives 'Gav-a-scon!' I will imediately sucum to the demands of the tribe. It will be impariative that I apease the angry Stomach God. My impertanance will be punished as the great bon fire burning in my gut will be stoked to massive proportions. After many many offerings to the Stomach God, the tribe will grow quiet, some murmurs will still be able to be heard, the great fire will be extinguished and the Angry Stomach God will contemplate that which I have sent to ease his anger and fury. If the offering is good and pleases the Stomach God, he will sleep... for now... if it is unworthy, he will become even more angry and cause pain and destruction, the tribe will sound the drums again, the fire will burn larger, the offering will have to be larger. Eventually the Stomach Gods' anger will disapate, but the suffering will have already happened. The pain will linger in my memory, the ache will stay fresh. I will know that I have angred the Great and Powerful Stomach God. For days after, the Stomach God will anger eaisly, lashing out at any little offering that is not just perfect, forcing me to yield to his will. And yield I will, none can resist the force and power of the Stomach God, none can withstand the pain inflicted by the Angry Stomach God. So far, nothing has happend, but I swear I hear war drums and chanting - softly... very softly. I may make an offering before bed in hopes of heading off the impending wrath from the offensive offering of Curry Chicken.
I guess it would have been eaiser to say "Oh fuck, that spicy chicken is going to have me up half the night. Sucks to have reflux. I better take some antacids before bed, maybe it won't bother me if I do that." But it wasn't nearly as entertaining. ;o)

Seeking Inertness
Main Entry: in·ert
Pronunciation: i-'n&rt
Function: adjective
Etymology: Latin inert-, iners unskilled, idle, from in- + art-, ars skill -- more at ARM
Date: 1647
1 : lacking the power to move
2 : very slow to move or act : SLUGGISH
3 : deficient in active properties; especially : lacking a usual or anticipated chemical or biological action
synonym see INACTIVE, asleep, idle, passive, quiet, sleepy
Related Word impotent, powerless; apathetic, impassive, phlegmatic, stolid; dead, inanimate, lifeless
That’s what I’d like to be right now… inert
What I wish the kids were currently… inert
What I want to for the rest of the day… inert
What the kids are now… NOT inert.
What I have to be right now … Not inert
What has caused this sudden quest for inertness? I think it has to do with the fact that it’s gray and cloudy. Maybe it’s because I stayed up until 1:30 am cleaning my house. It’s not that I’m really tired, but I just don’t feel like doing much today. No, no, that’s wrong. I don’t feel like doing ANYTHING today. Hence the mention of being inert. But I’m not inert. I’m busy. Chasing kids, cleaning, doing laundry…. Anything but being inert.
So… my quest for inertness is not to be fulfilled. I’m off to do more laundry, cleaning, etc.

What Was I Thinking??????
To celebrate hubby getting a job again, he suggests we all go to a local Mexican restaurant - I said yes since technically tomorrow is his birthday AND he is starting a new job. I don't know about him, but I had this vision of us eating a peaceful dinner as a family, two cute kids being adorable and people having a hard time not looking at the adorable children. Yeah... then the roofies wore off and reality smacked me right in the face. Sheesh. Nothing like that happened... It was more like DINNER WITH EEEEEEVIL! The kids were abso-fucking-lutley possessed. I think I could have brought two chimpanzees to the restaurant with us and they would have acted better. Beelzebub... I mean Super Girl was in full whine mode within 5 minutes of being at the restaurant, her little sister Lucifer... Cabbage Patch decided that tonight was the night to screech at the top of her lungs and jump on the seat. Super Girl would not eat ANYTHING that was ordered for her - and she even picked out her own food. Cabbage Patch would eat some, then stand up, screech loudly and jump on the seat - didn't help that her sister was encouraging her to do these things. Dinner was a delicious place of tamales eaten between harsh glares at children and muttered threats spoken through clenched teeth. Damn those children were acting evil - I kept waiting for their heads to spin around and for them to spit pea soup. Sheesh... Mommy needs a stiff drink now.

WOOOHOOO! Finally!
Hubby goes back to work tomorrow (his birthday ironically - and I'm the one getting the gift. hehehehehe..) I'm so excited - I'll have my life back to normal. It's just a contract job and only lasts until July, but it's a JOB and that means that he's OUT OF THE FRIGGIN' HOUSE for 9 or so hours a day. Ahhhh... my schedule is back to being MINE. (yeah I know, I'm a bitch... but hell we were running out of things to talk about since he's been home all the time.)

Ahhhh… The Irony Is Never Lost On Me…
Last night I had a long discussion with my boss about work, etc. She called to get me to work a hospital, ask me some questions about a different hospital and we discussed these new patient information release forms (she got all testy with me at one point and said my name all irritated like… and sounded like my grandmother, which pissed me off and made me want to hang up on her ass!). At the end of the conversation I told her I could work a particular hospital for a while if she needed someone until she could get someone else. (Incidentally the person I trained last for this hospital just up and disappeared – she worked for a couple of weeks, then didn’t show up again. So now they need someone again.) She tried to pin me down to working there long term and I told her that I could only work until my husband got a job, that I would not be putting my kids in full time day care as that would be just insane to spend that much money. She agreed. Today I go work; it’s a good day, average number of babies, average sales. I call home to chat with hubby while waiting on an appointment and he tells me that he got a contract that starts this coming Monday and lasts until July and could go longer. Hehehehehe… Just when I commit to working, he gets a job. Hell if I had known that’s how it was going to go down, I sure as hell would have done this weeks ago! So… now I have to call my boss and tell her that I can’t work on Monday’s and Tuesdays. She’s going to be so damn pleased to hear that… really she is… she may even say my name like my grandmother again. I can’t wait.

Kitchen Fires, Toxic Fumes And Knives Hurled At Me… Damn! What A Damn Fine Mother’s Day!
Yesterday was Mother’s Day. I’m sure everyone knows that by now. I worked because it was a Sunday and I normally work on Sundays (as I’m sure everyone who reads this on a semi-regular basis knows already). After a busier than normal Sunday at the hospital and lower than expected sales for the day, I headed home. I was in a really good mood. Everyone was napping when I got home, so who am I to make waves… I napped also. I heard the children and hubby get up shortly after I went to nap and heard them leave for the store. When they returned Super Girl bursts into my room yelling “Happy Mother’s Day mamma! We got you some flowers!” hehehehe… I tried to send her out to watch cartoons or torture the cats – I didn’t care what, I just wanted to nap some more. I was tired from us having friends over for a delightful dinner the night before and of course it ran a bit on the late side. Once I realized that more sleep was just a feeble wish of mine that would not come true, I got up and stumbled into the living room. Hubby informs me that he and the little people had procured ingredients for a special Mother’s Day dinner for me but we are out of butter so he (and them) would need to head back to the store to purchase butter. Super Girl informs me for the 500th time that I have flowers, then they leave. While they are at the market I poke around the kitchen, hmmmm…. Fresh green beans – very nice…. Ohhhhh fresh corn on the cob – I do like that… Ahhhhh steak! I love that!… yum yum yum yum yum! Dinner rolls! Mmmmm the food of the gods! I wash and trim the green beans while I wait for my family to return. Super Girl announces to me as soon as she walks through the door that “We got you a card mamma!” I hear hubby muttering “Thanks for keeping a secret…” hehehehe… kids.
I go sit on the couch and start watching Treasure Planet as hubby starts preparing dinner. 10 or so minutes into this Super Girl starts yelling at me “Mamma! Mamma! There’s a fire in the oven!” I look towards the kitchen and see the yellow-orange glow of fire and hop up off the couch. In the kitchen I see fire coming up from under one of the burners, hubby has been pouring salt on it to put it out. Not working, but it’s not really getting any bigger, I help by popping up the burner and the grease catching thingie that goes under the heating element – ya see, the fire is not IN the oven, it’s IN the STOVE TOP. Actually under the burner. Once the heating element and the grease catching thingie are off it takes just a bit more salt and it’s out. I turn on the vent to suck the smoke out of the kitchen and head back to the comfort of the couch, restart the DVD. We all laugh. 10 minutes later I smell toxic fumes and muse aloud “What’s that smell? What’s burning?” A quick look towards the kitchen answers both of those questions. I rush off to the kitchen as the lovely yellow-orange glow seems larger this time. Ahhhh… the stovetop fire again. Well at least it’s not one that would require the fire extinguisher this time. We go through the whole removal of the heating element and grease catcher thingie and pouring the salt on the fire. I ask, “Did you clean that out before?” “Yes I did.” Is the rather testy answer I get from hubby. (men.) He shoos me aside to get the steaks out of the oven and as he takes the steaks out of the oven he knocks a LONG serrated knife off the counter and on my foot. A look at my foot and a quick count of piggies reveal than none have ‘gone to the market’ and his feeble attempt to kill me has come to nothing. I go open windows in the living room to let in some breathable air in the house. Back to the couch for me…. Restart the DVD yet again.
A few minutes later hubby serves the most delightful dinner, he even cut the corn off the cob for me. Mmmm mmmm. The steak was so damn good and so tender. Hubby serves the little people (who of course turn their nose up at everything except the corn and rolls) and he finally sits down with his plate. We restart the DVD… AGAIN.
So all in all, the food was fabulous, the movie was really good and hubby’s lame attempts to kill me were unsuccessful. It was a good Mother’s Day. Of course after thinking it all over, I don’t think I’ll let hubby make me a ‘surprise special dinner’ anymore… every time he’s done that, it’s been absolutely spectacular, but something has ALWAYS happened… once he made dinner for our anniversary, the dish washer broke and flooded the kitchen and hallway, we ended up eating our elegant meal on paper plates because I didn’t want to get plates dirty since we didn’t know how long it would take to get the dishwasher fixed (it was Friday night). Another time he made dinner, the kitchen sinks clogged and he could NOT get them unclogged, so again we ended up eating our gourmet dinner on paper plates. No more surprise special dinners made by him, they always taste wonderful, but one of these days they’ll be the death of me!

Creepy Kids Shows…
PBS has some of the best (and most educational of course) shows for children, but they also corner the market in creepy kids shows. These are the shows I actively avoid, as my children absolutely love these shows. One in particular is JayJay The Jet Plane. It’s a bunch of computer animated planes with human-ish faces. They just don’t move right though (and the voices are irritating). Another seriously annoying show is Barney – I don’t even have to explain why that one should be outlawed. Seven Little Monsters also joins this list, that is one fucked up show. 7 monsters… one mamma monster…. None of the monster ‘kids’ look alike…. Hmmmm… me thinks mamma monster has been a slut. It’s one of the kids shows that works too hard at its message. And… the monsters creep me out in a weird way; the monsters just don’t act like monsters, not scary or even Sesame Street monsterish, just bizarre and unsettling (the one that always dresses in the pink tutu is particularly disturbing… I know it’s a girl monster but it sure looks like a guy in drag… bad drag, and not the bad drag that’s funny, the bad drag that makes you shudder and look away). Arthur is another show on the list, it’s not a total loss but some of the characters are completely awful. Not exactly characters I want my children to decide to emulate. DW (Arthur’s little sister) is a brat and has no redeeming qualities, Francine is bossy and pushy (lesbian wanna be), Muffy is completely devoid of common sense and is a rich little brat. All of these characters wouldn’t be so bad if for one thing this wasn’t be touted as an educational program and if the bad behavior was dealt with for what it is, inappropriate behavior. Luckily my kids don’t like Arthur that much. Nick Jr. has a one show that is a bit creepy, but only a little, Max and Ruby. Two bunny kids who live in a house. It’s not an awful show, but…. They don’t seem to have parents. They live in a BIG house alone, Ruby is a little girly bunny about 6 or 7 and Max is about 3 or 4 and shows symptoms of being autistic, they have a grandma bunny, but parents are never seen. Hmmmm… just what is in that large garden patch… maybe Mamma and Daddy bunny? I think someone needs to call the authorities on these bunnies.
Well that irritating show over now, I’ll stop griping.
